Mornin' All!

feeling stressed again this morning for no reason. I'll look for a class at the gym or else do some cardio video to work it off. I sometimes get like this first thing in the morning - not sure what it's about.

today I need to work with a friend on some technical stuff with our nonprofit's Web site. Neither of us is looking forward to it. We both worked in IT for a few years, but this "project" will be challenging. Maybe that's part of why I'm feeling stressed this morning. Other than that, I'll be making the sweet potato casserole and maybe doing some preliminary stuff on the stuffing (I can probably put off baking that until tomorrow. I think it tastes best right out of the oven). I'm also making skyr right now. I have to run up to the store and get a thing of plain Siggi's to use as a starter. If I go early, like before 8:00, the store shouldn't be too crazy...

QOTD: my 25-year-old niece tends to be moody, so she can sometimes be an issue if she's in one of her "moods". Regardless of her mood, she's usually typing away on her phone, ignoring the rest of us, which I find very irritating. My mother talks a lot about her aches and pains and her bowel movements, which I guess isn't unusual for an 87-year-old, but I don't particularly want to hear about it. I just tune it out, although one of these days I'm going to lose it and tell her I don't want to hear about it anymore. Fortunately, she's unlikely to talk about it (esp her bowel movements) while we're eating.

B: protein shake, coffee with half & half

MS: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote

L: cottage cheese (?)

AS: yogurt bark or 1/2 a protein muffin

D: either a salad with chicken and light dressing, or just chicken strips with BBQ sauce

have a great day, everyone!

Good mornin everyone.

I'. Working on very little sleep but the kitchen is clean and the sweet potatoes for the pie are cooked. I'm tired as heck! Gonna be a long few days.

I don't know if my SIL and nieces & nephew are coming over today. I'll find out when my mom gets up I guess. Going to make the pies today and the fruit pizza crust. My mom will likely do the potatoes today and we'll mash em up tomorrow. Though we might wait if my SIL doesn't come over(it's one of the jobs my mom was going to give her). I'm going to make some caramel apple crescent roll things if they come over today and we have sandwich stuff to feed em.

I start the higher dose of Ozempic today with three .5 shots. Due to shortages they can't get the 1ml pen.

QOTD: oh lord! My family is or was full of diva like behavior! My late uncles wife was and is a witch...she always threw fits about things. Her girls were no better. My oldest aunt was even worse. They are thankfully out of our lives. I caused a scene one Christmas get together when my late uncle got political crap going. My brother and me looked at each other and both said we just loved killing babies. I loved my uncle but he was an a-hole. No sugar coating it. I miss my grandparents so much but I don't miss the family get togethers.

B: JUST egg bowl & coffee

L: thinkin a one slice of bread sandwich and smoked Gouda

D: ??????

S: ??????

PS. JB loved loved the don't give a fa la la cookie!

Good morning from O dark thirty over here. I just could not stay asleep and I was getting very frustrated so I decided to try it Jen's way and just start my day. I can always nap later. So far the only negative is I didn't want to blow out my hair after my shower and wake up Roger so it's going to be a flat hair day. #Firstworldproblems. I had a very good day yesterday with about 50 minutes of yoga and a 2.2 mile fast walk, plus lots of little house chores and I used my weights and resistance bands last night for a wind down. Oh, I forgot, my trainer asked me on Monday if I was getting leaner because she thinks she sees a difference. That made me happy. The scale isn't moving but I am seeing a bit of a change in how my pants fit.

We are having my daughter's husbands family stay at our house while we are gone to Mexico. Just the brother, wife and two littles. We like them very much and are fine with them staying, but it adds a little more to our normal get the house perfect before we leave routine. I love coming home to a perfect house, and this time is totally up in the air what we shall walk into. I'm pretty hopeful everything will look as we left it. Also today I get my toes done, Rog has an eye appt, we want to wash the car and top it off since we are driving into Mexico with it. We had the basic maintenance done last week and ended up buying a new battery for it. Better here than there. I'll finish organizing what we are taking and I need a quick run into a shop to buy tortillas and another dozen eggs for the weekend. Totally forgot them, even though I remembered the JUSTEGG for my allergic kid.

I was 100% on program food and calorie wise yesterday. That included a glass of wine.

QoTD: In the years past, my sister (she passed away about 15 years ago), my sister in law who no longer gets an invite (and TRULY believes that Trump is the second coming of Jesus. I am in no way exaggerating this statement) and my Mom who also passed. We really enjoy the people we spend this holiday with.

Menu: (back from a freezer dive!)

B: leftover crack chicken and cottage cheese

L: leftover chicken cordon blue and roasted acorn squash

D: I think maybe dive shop tacos and beans and keep the kitchen in shape for company arriving late tonight.

Peace Everybody!
