I think yuzu is some kind of exotic citrus fruit. This pie might be OK, except for the meringue. I hate meringue. I guess I'd go with the pumpkin, too (although I like pumpkin pie, so...)

I will try a bite of the pecan pie I make as I'm doing something different this year...no bourbon but dark Karo syrup and dark brown sugar. If we kept bourbon it'd be in it!

The pie I'm looking forward to is the sweet potato pie. Lots of spice and roasted sweet potatoes...and I can control the sugar somewhat.

uhm, I am with you and Amy on the green bean casserole, but must protest the gravy comment. I live for the gravy on the mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving -- and the open faced turkey sandwich the next day. Gravy is life.

I am definitely pro-gravy. I just don?t think a liquid can be considered a dish. We can't say Cabernet is our favorite side dish, right? It literally comes in a bowl.

IF I pie, I prefer fruit pie. All else is too sweet to me. Apple first, then cherry are my favorites - I mean fresh, not the canned stuff. In Northampton, we had an apple tree (don't know the variety but they were dry, hard and sour) and a sour cherry tree - both 100+ years old that we would make the best pies from.

It has to be French's fried onions!!

It is great to have a pie company like that. Something that would not make it in a small town. Only choices around here are the pumpkin, apple or cherry. Any other would be frozen. I love that you are sending people to VSG board. That is funny.

Morning QJB and menuers,

Well, my day burned down yesterday, proverbiallly. I went from two scheduled meetings and thinking there would be time for walks and shopping to seven meetings, plus one on ones with lawyers. Let me tell you, that's never fun even when the lawyers are great people. The two big projects didn't come in and the messy day was thanks to a 13th hour issue on one of then. I was working until sleep. Four or so meetings today, including a one on one with my boss. Hoping it's a bit calmer, anyway, so I can make headway on the list and take off most of the next three days.

I did make a quick run to Publix literally between meetings since it's 2.5 miles from here. It was enough to see I need to go back. Even just blowing through, I found za'atar! It's been on my spice list for a while so I nabbed it. I also managed to walk into not one, but two people with my hand basket. I apologized profusely and got a lot of grace in return, somehow.

QOTD- Let's just go with stuffing. Carbs are the bane of my existence. :)

Accountability- One sip of strawberry/pineapple pink Moscato.

Exercise- I did get in the the two shorter walks yesterday and power walking through the grocery store. Aiming for the three walks today. Got in a half mile to start. Maybe head back to the store while it's early.

Menu

Some cold cuts from Publix I snagged

More oikos triple zero

Protein bar

Dinner unknown

Tons of water, at least one cup of tea.

Cheers everyone!
