Rob was so happy to see that - he hates any modern uniforms and helmets

My brother in law is like that too. Guild the lily to a major fault. His mashed potatoes and stuffing have everything but the kitchen sink and are basically unrecognizable.

I eat mashed potatoes one or two times a year and know exactly how I like them. I boil them until the water is gone, then add some milk and boil the milk, throw in some salted butter and mash with my potato masher. No extra ingredients for me and no mixer. When someone tries to help, I make it clear that I do not want any help

I hope you get a good dietician; my bariatric RD was fantastic in helping with pre-op behavioral changes.

Hope your dietician is helpful! Good luck. I would think bariatric clinics would be more understanding of tackling concerns early rather than telling you your BMI is too low. :(

some seem to be fine with prescribing meds temporarily to get you back on track. I know I'm not the first person. I'm glad my clinic was OK with it (and my PCP, too). My BMI isn't all that high, but it IS now in the "overweight" category. It would be a different story if I were considering revision, though - I think that'd be a hard no at this point. But if you're struggling to lose weight and need a temporary crutch until you've got your groove back, I don't really see a problem with that.
Good morning! Thanksgiving week. Wow, how did this come so quickly this year? I've done my HIIT class this morning and am drinking my fake coffee and cooling down so I can shower up for the day. We survived a TJ's run yesterday and I found everything I needed so I did not have to go to Costco.
Yesterday I did great on my food choices and quantities. I again had two glasses of wine. Today I have a bunch of little errands and it's library day for me. One of my favorite things. We don't have much going on this week at all until we leave for Valle de Guadalupe, MX on Thursday morning. I'll have plenty of reading time for sure.
QoTD: No. Dang it.
Menu:
B: leftover turkey and butternut squash skillet with a bit of cottage cheese
L: Thinking Luna Grill for a bit of gyros and chicken. One meal is like four for me.
D: Bulgogi, rice, small salad
Aiming for no adult beverages today. Glad the exercise portion of my day is behind me.
Peace Everybody!
