Oh no--I have used Venmo for the majority of my orders and I haven't had any issues! LMK if I can help troubleshoot!

I am SOOO glad I got ahead because I can already tell that coordinating customer pick ups for Thanksgiving orders are going to take up all of the rest of my time this week! I set up the pick up time & location when they check out and then I send MULTIPLE emails with pick up reminders, but somehow people still think it is negotiable at the last minute. Two people have already asked to rearrange pick up today and it's messing with my awesome schedule :(

Good morning QJB and menuers,

What a hyper productive weekend! And now you can plan all your fun family holiday activities and food. What you just described at the store is exactly why I'm a 6am shopper when at all possible. There are no club discounters around me so it's all Walmart, for the most part. One day soonish I might make a pilgrimage to Trader Joe's. I almost expect a madhouse worse than Costco on a Saturday afternoon. :)

QOTD- Funny how I watch lots of things and then can't remember when the question comes up. There was one recently about a woman who stopped aging that was pretty good. Umm. I rewatched Baahubali with English dubs to see how I felt about it. Nope. Dubbing takes out some level of passion and emotion, so I'll stick with originals.

Made it to Georgia midmorning yesterday after a nap along the way. It was 8 hours into the drive before that happened, so good progress. And as planned, very few trucks, though a fair few deer grazing along the interstate. Since I'll be here a week, I brought a bag of protein bars. Think I have enough for two a day if needed. Also have some chomps, a few bags of protein chips and more than a case of electrolyte water. My mother bought flavored protein yogurt for me, so guess I'll be trying that to make her happy. Oikos triple zero it is!

Not many work meetings the next two days, so hoping to make a lot of progress on the admin things needed. There are also two big projects that are supposed to be submitted today that need immediate review, so I'm on deck there to keep things moving.

I intend to hit up Publix today and pick up a few things to contribute to the cooking this week. The family is attempting to brine a turkey for the first time. I'm going to make roasted maple pears and cranberries and two vegetable side dishes. Cinnamon butter carrots and maybe balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts. Also offered to make a nice, herby biscuit of some kind. Half recipes of each means not too many leftovers. :)

I'm so proud of food yesterday! Mainly the family piece. They wanted to grill burgers in the cold. This time, before going down, I told my mom I was just going to eat the patty and got a fork and knife. Same as usual, there was an attempt to put it in a bun but yay! No bun. I know it's a small thing. The family part is hardest for me, though.

Exercise - half mile walk in the cold so far with the dogs. After my two meetings I'll take a "lunch" and do a 2+ mile neighborhood walk. And another shorter one tonight. Planning at least 3 miles a day while here.

Menu

Pure protein chocolate bar

Vanilla oikos triple zero

Quest protein bar

Dinner unknown, maybe another protein snack if needed

Peach blossom tea

Happy Monday, folks!

I much prefer subtitles - you're right, dubbing takes something out of the movie. I don't like it at all...

Agree! Just means I have to sit still and pay attention to the movie and not my cell phone...oh, wait... :)

yea same here. I watch movies on my laptop and occasionally play games while I'm watching them (esp if they're not terribly engaging). Hard to do that when they're subtitled!
