Not that 9:45 AM at a tailgate party or golfing would be an issue for me.

Your dogs are just adorable. Glad to know it's not just mine with the dairy tubs. :) And yay for flavored cottage cheese!

OMG, the stuffed animal cookies are sooo cute! Cute and clever shirt. A great way for the class to know who to ask questions to. Do you bring cookies in different shapes or is there a theme for decorating the cookies during the class? I am glad you enjoyed your teaching experience and mingle time.

Today. I have a 1:1 with my boss. He likes to have a monthly chat with all his reports individually. It is usually pretty low stress. I have an online class later this afternoon on Shame in Medicine. I am on several committees that focus on compassion fatigue, employee resilience, peer support. This class is just some additional education in this area. Healthcare providers encounter situations that can lead to morale or emotional distress, the committees I am on focus on working through work (and/or personal) trauma to prevent compassion fatigue (when the employee is no longer able to have compassion for their patients due to difficult unresolved traumatic events that have occurred during patient care activities) and increase employee resilience. I am enjoying this new area of interest.

I don't have a lot of plans for the weekend. Maybe some minor cleaning to prep for Thanksgiving. It will be a small group (my family plus niece and her bf) for dinner. My FIL traditionally has made a meat dressing, which is basically the insides of raviolis, for Thanksgiving. I will make that this weekend with plans to divide it so that part of it goes to Thanksgiving dinner, the other part I will make raviolis for the first time. I should be getting a pasta machine for evenly rolling out the pasta dough and a ravioli mold set on Saturday. DD will help me. I will also be making the family recipe for the meat sauce. I will make a big batch of both with plans to freeze each for easy reheat. I will also get my usual workouts in on Saturday and Sunday.

QOTD: I can't think of anything scary lately other than when I stepped on the scale last week and my weight was up 3 lbs!

Pictures are from my Mexico trip.

Nope, sorry. I delete and re upload when it does that. Sometimes corrects, sometimes doesn't. I don't mind tilting my head sideways to see them. :)

For some reason I'm stuck thinking of your FIL taking all your carefully constructed ravioli apart to make more of his dish.

Thank you for the work you do, and for being on those committees when it adds even more to the workload. It makes a difference in the mental health of care workers and the patients they see. Cheers.
