What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
I love old school arcade games and pinball machines. I hope to check out the pinball museum next visit to Vegas.
If you end up going to Red Robin, here's a free birthday burger exp 11/30. Tell the server you want to use a birthday burger reward in your account ph# 919-964-3438 or [email protected]. Can you let me know if you use it so I don't share it with another person? There's also a buy one burger, get one 1/2 price reward in the account that you're welcome to use if they let you stack the rewards.

Mornin' All!
it's freezing today. The high will be in the low-20s. Good Lord - it's too early in the season for this nonsense. I REALLY don't want to go out in this, but I'll probably have to to do the Thanksgiving grocery shopping, because this weekend and next week the stores are going to be jammed. I'd rather deal with the cold. Other plans for the day include making biscotti for a party tonight, and working on my classes (as usual...). My in-person class will be meeting online on Tuesday, since a lot of kids are going home (for Thanksgiving) early. YAY! Even though it's great to interact with real people, you can't beat the convenience of online....
my A1C was fine yesterday, but my "estimated glucose" was still 100. WTF?? It hasn't been that high since I weighed almost 400 lbs. It's not crazy high or anything, but I'm going to start monitoring my carb intake. I've never had to do that before because I've never been particularly "carb sensitive", but I appear to be headed in that direction. It might also explain this never-ending hunger. I was planning on starting my appetite suppressant today, but I think I'll wait until tomorrow. I have that party tonight and there will be drinking. Not sure how that'll interact with the med, and I don't want to find out when I'm away from home. Plus I'm thinking maybe I'll just drink protein shakes this weekend to give myself a jump start (I should be able to handle that since I'll be on the appetite suppressant - otherwise, there's no way I could survive on two days of just protein shakes!).
QOTD: yesterday I was doing some class-related reading and heard what sounded like someone coming into the house. It was only around 2:00 pm. It was puzzling - certainly DH wouldn't be home that early? I called out to him - no answer. I then freaked. Once I got my s**t together, I walked around the house - checking every door and window. Nuttin'. All I can think of is maybe one of the cats in the guest room (other side of the wall from where I was sitting) leaped to the top of his cat tree with enough force that it banged against the wall or something (has happened before - and he was sitting on top of it when I opened the door to check the windows in there). Whew. Freaked me out there for a minute (or ten!)
B: plain skyr with 1/2 diced, cooked apple, coffee with half &half
MS: protein shake
L: salad with pulled chicken and light dressing
AS: protein muffin
D: will skip since we'll be at the party. People bring all sorts of stuff - I'll try very hard to make wise choices!!
ex: I don't want to go out in this weather unless absolutely necessary (i.e., grocery store!), so I'll do an online Zumba class. There's always a risk I'll stop early when I do online classes, but I'll vow to keep up for the whole hour. And even if I don't, 30 minutes is better than nothing....
Sometimes metformin is used for weight loss also. FYI, due to your fasting numbers (still in the good range I would guess thought).

I hate those strange noises like that and I also will go through the whole house just to double check everything!

Good Morning! It's Fri-Yay! It's gonna be a crazy busy one and I have my MRI scheduled after work (they are open until 9pm so I have a 7:15 appt). I don't think we have much planned for the weekend so I'm looking forward to some rest and relaxation. JB-love love love all the cookies. And for what's it worth, I think you're doing awesome. I need to have a conversation with myself about accountability. I keep finding reasons to "justify" why I'm at where I'm at, both mentally and scale-wise I need to be real.
QOTD: There are drivers every day on my commute that scare me but beside that I can't think of anything else.
TSS: 8 years 3 months
B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, SF pudding and some fruit
S: Protein puffs, a piece of fruit and yogurt
D: TBD
ES: Greek yogurt
E: Elliptical
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:TBD
Have a great one!
G'morning all!
QJB - I love your tshirt. Hopefully you are wearing it during your classes. I know we are our own worst critica, but honestly you don't look big to me, you are always tiny. And that grandma is so sweet ordering those cookies on repeat for her grandkids
I might be posting sporadically next week, due to kids being home. On one hand I'm thinking they don't get up early, on the other hand DD is on east coast time and might keep me company on my 6:00 am coffee, that's when I post here. So in case I don't post I wanna wish you all a great thanksgiving and lots of fun family time.
QOTD: scariest thing I experienced was my dream last night. I dreamt I was running a fever and had scratchy throat. I kept saying I can't have Covid, I can't have it. Kids were coming and I had to quarantine and not see them. I was devastated. I woke up so happy that I'm not sick. I'm double masking running errands because I really don't need to get it now after almost three years of not getting it.
My pics are of the sunsets on my walk with Luna. With time change by the time we get out of the house for our walk we are witness to most glorious sunsets.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Chicken fajitas
- parm cheese, jello, epic chicken
- Rest of chicken fajitas
- E: cardio + weight
Happy Fri-yay!
