QJB-you are a busy, busy girl. It is a good thing you don't have work on top of school and your cookie business. Regarding your eating exercise, and sobriety, it sounds like you have a solid plan. I agree with focusing on 1-2 things instead of a handful of changes all at once since that can be overwhelming. I am trying to look at the positives in my life with gratitude and not focus on what isn't going well. So, in your case 1) you are exercising routinely, 2) you joined a gym, 3) you have significantly reduced your alcohol intake, 4) awesome cookie business, 5) kicking butt in school, and 6) your DH. Great job on all those wonderful achievements! Keep up the good efforts and you will tackle your food choices when you are ready.
Yesterday I left work a bit early so I could get my nails done before my hair appointment. then went for my cut and color. No workout, which was a nice restful evening at home. Today, is just the usual work, a work town hall meeting (very short), and a workout after the workday is done. No other plans.
QOTD: I know what I would do for a half-sleeve tattoo. I would have an old-fashioned lock (think paddle lock type) with 2 skeleton keys attached by a thin chain that had my kids' names on them (something similar to picture but without the shading behind it). Beautiful flowers (tiger lilies most likely) added. Muted colors similar to black and white but with some color to it. On my back not sure.
Accountability: Excellent

Question: why is there an LOL after sobriety?
"Regarding your eating exercise, and sobriety (LOL),..."
From what I see on here, people trying to stay away from alcohol is no small feat.

I did not mean any disrespect
when I had read previous posts I had the impression that although people lamented about the alcohol consumption it was not an issue such as addiction but rather darn it I had another glass I didn't plan for in my calories. Similar to my popcorn issue. My bad. I see that I offended you and others. I did not mean to. I thought she was being tongue-in- cheek when she wrote sobriety. I apologize to anyone who was offended.

Use me as a cautionary tale - sobriety is not an LOL :(
I didn't drink at all for 2 years, then it was just the occasional glass of wine. I read all of the stories about people who developed alcohol addiction after surgery and I thought I would never have that problem. I'm not in a bad place or anything, but when I feel myself strongly drawn to a nightly drink and feel powerless to turn it down, I know I am heading in the WRONG direction. I'm happy that I'm taking charge of it now while I can.

Sorry for the LOL. I didn't realize you were not being tongue-in-cheek silly. I apologize for not getting what you were laying down. Best wishes on your efforts.

QOTD- The only tattoos that I have are the little black dots from having to get radiation for breast cancer. You can barely see them but they still bother me. I would probably do wings, have you ever seen Saving Grace? In the last few episodes someone tattoos wings on her back, I loved them.
Computer issues yesterday, it updated and I lost all of my network drives and my email signature, plus it put this annoying graphic in the corner of the search box. I'm a purist I don't have anything on my desktop except the recycle bin. I hate having icons on my desktop.
It should be a busy day here today, the heating guys and my plumber will be here. So I'm not sure how productive I will be. It doesn't help that I can't access my saved work either. I need to send out my job for review and to the joint pole guys so we can get permission to attach to the power poles.
I found out that I can't trust the kittens around yogurt. I had to go downstairs the other day and I left my full yogurt on my desk. When I came back they had eaten 1/4 of it. So now if I leave the room I put it high up on the bookshelf. One of my other cats loved it too, I would let him lick out the container, he also loved peanut butter so I had to save a little for him.
Cold and windy here, my lawn mower came but I haven't had time to put it together. I also bought a leaf blower so yard work is in my future.
Have a great day everyone!
