What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Good Morning! Midweek is here, the next few days should be busy since we are hoping to be able to distribute checks Friday instead of Monday (we have a 5th/20th cycle for the large percentage of the staff)but we always try to get them out early if we can.

QOTD: Never snows here, it is almost a tropical climate. Our 2 seasons are wet and dry. We are just starting the dry season. I love snow if I don't have to drive in it and can just look out the window!
Nothing on the agenda today. I have 2 tasks today, deep clean the master bedroom and clear the kitchen counters of random objects that somehow ended up there. We enter the house thru the kitchen and it's the first flat surface! Amazing how fast it gets cluttered, clutter seems to attract more. I also need to go thru the house and collect all the not used items and donate them. More clutter and that bugs me. Roofers are back again today to finish drying it in. We are getting a metal roof and the materials should be here on Friday.
Menu: cottage cheese, chili, salad. I am tired of those and need some more variety. I will freeze the rest of the chili today. It will make a quick meal for dinner when I don't feel like cooking. Which is most of the time.

When I lived in Miami I learned that south Floridian's idea of dry and my idea of dry were not the same, lol.

Mornin' All!
I signed up for a luncheon/roundtable thing at the university today. The speaker is an architecture historian who'll be talking about one of Wisconsin's well-known architects, so this should be interesting (well, to those of us who love architecture, that is). I'm going to go over there super early in hopes I can park in the garage under the building so i don't have to walk on potentially slippery sidewalks. Hopefully this'll work. I'll take a book so I'll have something to do before the luncheon. Other than that, not much on the agenda today.
my PCP didn't scold me about my weight yesterday (I'm still "overweight", not obese (whew!), and she doesn't really mind her older adult patients being in the "overweight" category as long as they're otherwise healthy), but she was fine with the idea of trying an appetite suppressant for a couple of months to give me a jump start. So I'm going to do it. I had her write the script since I called the bariatric clinic back and they couldn't get me in for a BP check and EKG until January. My PCP has never required an EKG for that and was surprised that the clinic does, and my BP is good and low (which is all SHE requires). Hopefully those will be ready for pick up sometime today. I'm sure I could do this on my own, but I've been floundering and my weight hasn't budged in some time beyond the daily fluctuations. Maybe if I could lose five or 10 lbs with the help of this med, it'll motivate me to continue. I hope. Fingers crossed.
QOTD: we've had a couple days of flurries, but yesterday was the first time it stuck. There's a chance of it continuing until noon today, but I don't see any activity out there at the moment. Right now it's just on the grass - roads look fine. Hopefully it'll stay that way. No more snow in the forecast for later today or the rest of the week. Whew. I have too many out-of-the-house activities coming up - don't want to deal with slippery roads.
B: not hungry. May just have a protein shake or some skyr with fruit before I go. Coffee with half & half.
MS: I'll be on campus waiting for the luncheon. I"ll probably have more coffee (with half & half) or an iced latte with 2% milk and SF syrup.
L: I ordered the vegetarian option for lunch. I have no idea what it will be. I'll just aim to eat sensibly - as in not make a pig of myself. Skip the rolls (if any), maybe just have a couple bites of dessert.
AS: protein muffin?
D: 2-3 oz salmon, some kind of vegetable
have a great day, everyone!
Do they prescribe a specific appetite suppressant for bariatric patients, or is this medicine for everybody?

Good morning ~ The volume on my alarms was so low I didn't hear it going off for over an hour! I must have been dead asleep. I didn't have time for a workout, but the sleep was worth it. Yesterday, I finished my project (which will be monthly) but it was my first time doing it alone. In the end, I really enjoyed the challenge. There are other big monthly report projects to do as well, but I got this plus they will only get easier. I need to figure out how to get exercise in today, no time for a lunch walk these days since my calendar is always packed. Plus I am leaving work early for my Weight Loss Center appt - today is the day! I can get in a dog walk and/or a yoga session when I get home a little early today
