What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good morning and Happy Veteran's day to all that served and all the families that supported them. As a Navy brat, I can tell you first hand how my Dad's service impacted my life in good and bad ways. It's a real family commitment and they deserve all the thanks they can get.
Ok--today, Rog has the stomach flu. Sorry Rog. Poor guy. But I am glad it's today because we have tickets to see Hamilton tomorrow. And if he has the same experience I did, he'll be sore and tired and totally empty by tonight, but back among the living tomorrow. We have had the grand girls overnight and they have been great. I've asked them to keep away from Papa and wash their hands a bunch.
I did great on food yesterday. The stomach bug gave me tiny pouch syndrome so I am liking that part. And no drinks with calories at all. I did get the stairs done and it was HARD. And I took a wrong turn and ended up adding like 10 minutes to my usual route. Today, I plan on getting out for a good walk and maybe a stretch yoga class on my app. I'll drop the girls of at gymnastics at 4 and then have a nice peaceful evening.
QoTD: about 1/2 done. Again, I only buy for the grand girls. The other little people in our life get savings bonds.
Menu today:
B: left over piece of low carb meatloaf and cottage cheese
L: left over turkey meatballs and edamame pasta
D: thinking I'll try this new chicken crockpot sort of crack chicken thing I found. Looking for left overs for lunches and breakfasts for the coming week. And I don't think Rog will be eating much. If he is, I'll make him some mashed potatoes to serve the crockpot mess over.
I've got a photo dump. Sorry. First up, my grands in their costumes. Little Harry Potter and the watermelon slice. The watermelon slice was designed and mostly painted all by my oldest.
And then a couple of fun Vegas shots. Rog and our oldest son Ryan and I, and then a couple with our friends Tosh and Angela. We've been friends for 35 years.
And finally, some pictures of the Conservatory at the Bellagio. It's just beautiful in there, and some of these pumpkins exceed 800 pounds in weight!
Ok, I'm done! sorry for taking up a whole page!
Peace Everybody. Have a great weekend.
