On Thanksgiving my yoga studio offers free classes and the class I am taking is called Planksgiving Pilates. They have a qualifying 5-minute plank hold during the class, if you can do that with perfect form at the end of class are eligible for the plank challenge to see who can hold the plank the longest. Last year the record was 10 minutes 3 seconds.

Don't you hate it when they mess up your expensive drink? It is such a bummer when you are looking forward to the drink but have to dump it because it tastes terrible, or they put sugar in it. I wouldn't waste calories on a sugared drink either.

Have a great weekend with DD.

Mornin' All!

well the PA at my bariatric clinic said he's willing to put me on an appetite suppressant temporarily to give me a jump start to get back on track. I'm thinking about it. I'd have to go in for a BP check and a ECG first. Although I've done very well with eating the last couple of days and actually woke up feeling OK this morning - as in not bloated and heavy - so maybe I'll give it the weekend before deciding.

my hairdresser's mother's funeral is today. I feel like I should go, but it's an hour away - and I have a meeting I'd need to miss. I'm torn. I'm sure it'd mean a lot to her if I went, but part of me really doesn't want to go. At least it's not until this afternoon - I have time to contemplate this.

going to Aqua Zumba at 9:00 - it's on the other side of town, so I need to motivate here. There's another water aerobics class at the branch that's five minutes from my house, but she's changed the routine recently (no more "Born to be Wild" or "Crazy Train" or other songs our 60-80 year old group can relate to), so I'd prefer going to Aqua Zumba. No "Born to Be Wild" there, either - but the routines are more intense, which I like.

QOTD: we quit buying Christmas gifts a couple of years ago since we're all old and don't need any more "things". Actually we gave up on giving "things" longer ago than that and just gave each other gift certificates, but that felt kind of stupid - we were basically just exchanging a $50 gift certificate to place A for a $50 gift certificate to place B. Might as well just go directly to our place of choice and spend our own $50. Now we just get together for a big dinner - more like Thanksgiving. Much better - and less stressful.

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: lunch meeting at a Mexican place. I think I'll get a cup of black bean soup and a fish taco

AS: cottage cheese?

D: salad with pulled chicken and light dressing

have a great day, everyone!
