What's on your Thursday Menu?

Morning Gang! Happy Thursday. I had another great day yesterday. I got a lot checked off of my to-do list and I got a ton of unexpected cookie orders which is getting exciting!
I also met some of my goals yesterday and hope to do the same today. I recovered from my headache after taking allergy meds and I jogged 1 mile on the treadmill.
I also stayed away from alcohol for the night. I know I promised to extend sober October into November, but I really hadn't done a great job. I am going to double down on that one goal and make it my focus. The reduced calories and increased exercise haven't fallen off my radar but I think I was being too ambitious to try to fix everything at once.
QOTD: What is something you did recently that you are proud of? I noticed that I have been hard on myself lately about things not being perfect so I am going to try to be a little kinder, starting with noticing what is going well. I am proud of my first semester grades and proud of this month's cookie sales, which are just over triple what I made in September.

L: Last of the spicy chicken

Mornin everyone.
My A1c has gone down .40 so at least that's a little win. I see my surgeons NP today so I'm hoping they'll knock the Ozempic up to at least 1. My weight has been hovering around the same number for months really. I also need to improve my eating more. Plan more and yada yada. It also looks like I'm not getting enough protein. Ugh.
I also have an appointment with my new case manager at the mental health clinic. It's not looking promising as she never returned my call on the 31st.
I'm really not in a great mood. Pain will do that.
QOTD: not having a breakdown over my appointment Tuesday.
B: JUST egg bowl & coffee
L: PP shake
D: ?????
S: ?????

good luck with the nurse! Try adding more dense protein like chicken breasts if you can; I know they make me feel fuller longer...and I notice a difference between when I have the deli chicken which is shaved and part of a chicken breast itself.

Chicken breasts are the hardest for me to eat...even an oz makes me feel sick. Which sucks! I may get some chicken thighs though...thanks for the tip!

Melody, chicken breast can feel "stuck" when I eat them and I have a hard time processing them. But shredding them up in a couple ounces of cottage cheese and adding some spice like EBTB makes it slide right in and fills me up for hours! And a great double source of protein. Not sure if you have tried it that way, but wanted to share. Wishing you good luck and good feels!

I do eat dairy now! It's mainly eggs I avoid and boy do I miss those!

I cook my chicken in the crockpot, put it in when still frozen, add water with Boullion plus spices. Cook for at least 6-8 hours makes it super moist but make sure that the breasts are "soaking" in the broth to keep them moist. I find this works well for me. If the chicken is dry I also have problems with feeling stuck or foamies.

I take the breast and pulverize them in the food processor and add some kind of topping. Sometimes Mayo, ranch, gravy. Like you make chicken salad. They go down much easier.
