What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Mornin' All!
Well, I thought i'd be crying in my beer over the election results, but they're not as bad as I anticipated. Whew. We went to see "Till" last night so I wouldn't spend the whole evening glued to the returns. Loved it. Highly recommended (I think it was the first time I've been in a theater since the pandemic started).
it'll be warm today, but windy - so I'll go out and take a long walk (too windy to bike - but should be OK for walking - and I want to be outside instead of in the gym given the temps...). I'll be hosting a Zoom lecture this afternoon on the history of soap operas. A professor from one of the universities will be doing it. Her area is television history, and she recently published a book on soaps. She talks mostly about the changing roles of female characters on soaps as well as soaps' influence on pop culture. I saw a recording of her presentation before booking her, and it was really interesting - even though I'm not a soap fan. I wish we had more people register, but the number is acceptable. Maybe we'll get a few registrants yet today (fingers crossed...)
QOTD: not an album, but I'd do one of those "sound baths" with someone playing Tibetan bowls. In fact, I put that in my estate plans (that I'd love to have someone playing Tibetan singing bowls during my last days...so relaxing!!!)
B: plain skyr with diced mango, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: chocolate "mouse" with SF Cool Whip and raspberries
AS: protein muffin
D: gnocchi with homemade marina sauce

I just looked on Fandango for the synopsis of Till. It has a 97% fan rating, which is outstanding.

Congrats on happy work news! The disappearance of stress can have such a positive impact! And your squash sounds amazing.
Also congrats on the continuing exercise! 13 minute mile is great in my book.
