Morning everyone! Happy Tuesday to you and SATURDAY to me! I have no idea how I did it but I finished all of my schoolwork for the week very early, so I get an extra weekend day today. I think I am going to really take the day off, too. I do have cookie stuff to do, of course, but it will be nice to do it without any time pressure. I might try to binge some of your recommendations from last week, too! Oh and I can't wait to vote!

QOTD: What is a (non-work related) website you couldn't live without? I am going with IMDB! I am absolutely terrible at remembering where I know people from and it drives me nuts until I figure it out.

B: Miracle Muffin & Coffee

L: Fish

D: Spicy Chicken

Happy Tuesday and Election Day!

Good job on getting ahead of the workload for the week, QJB!

I woke up early to get some pictures of the lunar eclipse, I got a few but now the clouds have rolled in so not sure if I will have any more luck.

I voted already but have my sticker on for today. I do have our HOA meeting this evening so I get to vote again but for entirely different reasons and candidates.

I did the start of my yoga challenge series this morning and I have my personal trainer after work, before the HOA. She sent me a note that said she has a fun new shoulder series for me; I suspect she'll be the only one having fun with it, lol.

QOTD - for my friend group, I am IMDB so it's not that one for me. Probably the one I enjoy the most is The Court Jeweller, it's fun and pretty. I also love the various games like Globle, Wordle, and Framed.

menu today is

coffee plus half and half X2

yogurt

Ever Roast deli chicken and cheese

lemon-garlic-ginger chicken breast

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Website I couldn't live without would be this one of course. My surgeon did not have an in person support group, being still in Covid mode. He gave me lots of info and even made me take a written test on what I learned. There was a monthly zoom meeting, which failed most of the time so I quit trying. I did not have any problems and met the bench mark for progress.

Other then here.... Does Google count?

I have PT in an hour. After that I will start a pot of Chili. It is still in the 90's here but If I waited till it got chili weather, well that might not happen. So menu today will be that, beans and franks, salad. Breakfast is likely to be more like brunch. We are watching that storm approaching Florida, looks to bring rain, but is approaching across the state so not so much worry about wind and probably not a storm surge worry for the west side of FL.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

Happy weekend to you JB! Glad you're getting extra time.

QOTD- Right now this site, the Corgi thread on Reddit for a happy place, and Google because I look up everything.

Office day again today. I do like how I can get down half the day's water during the drive, so yay for that. Few meetings and a ton of things to get done around them, especially since I left early yesterday to vote and for the multi facial treatment. Yesterday I got a mix of Vasculaze, Lumecca, and Ultra. My face felt like I'd been under broiling sun for an hour. So glad for numbing gel. Then I went to vote, where I got some strange looks from people for rocking the lobster look. I also have a therapist appointment this evening, so have to be home in time for that. Glad the redness has faded enough to where no one should stare.

Menu is a repeat of yesterday. Yay, food prep! Hope you all have a lovely day.

Yes, I agree with this site, cant live without> Do we only get to pick one website, there are so many good ones. However, all the social media sites could disappear and I would be fine.

I interpreted that my own way. Different sites serve different purposes, so the three cover most of that. :) agree on social media. Read reddit...do not have an account or post. Outside of here, just LinkedIn for me because of how horrible social media is for everything in my life. Such a time sink!

Good morning, everybody!

QJB, I have been remiss in not wishing you a joyous Decorative Gourd Season this year.

I am supposed to go to Orlando for work tomorrow, but the Tropical Storm may cancel that. I think that I will find out in about an hour. We have plans to meet my daughter and sister in Waco for the Baylor game and to see Magnolia Market next weekend. I was supposed to fly Friday afternoon from Florida. I guess if the work thing cancels I can fly from Chicago with Marilyn on Friday.

Chrissy, I feel your pain on the parent issue. Last night, I had to call my Mom and tell her that I was in Massachusetts last week. Now, Marilyn knows for a fact that she already told her that I was going out, staying 1 1/2 hours away, didn't have aa car, hadn't seen my friends since before COVID, etc. Not a pleasant call.

When we were away, we ate at Restaurants every night, which I am not used to. I couldn't even come close to finishing anything. Glad to be back to simpler meals for a bit.

QOTD: I read a blog called Financial Samurai quite a bit. I don't always agree with him but I think its pretty good. I also seem to spend a lot of time researching "Distance Between.."

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Chicken

Dinner: Depends on whether I am going to Florida. Fish tacos (makes way more than one meal) if I am going to be home

Have a great day, all!

I was going to ask if you were going to see the Gaines in Waco. I saw that they have a whole block for the Magnolia enterprise that includes silos, a church, a bunch of shops, a pickleball stadiums, and a bakery I believe. They certainly have made the best of their skill set. I think it would be fun to go see but not sure if I will ever make it to Waco.

My MIL would probably be the same as your parents when it came to visiting. Last year I went to my hometown for a girl's weekend with my sisters (my in-laws also live there). I had no intention of visiting my MIL since I was focusing on my family but when my MIL found out I was in town she expected me to visit. I did manage a short visit with her.
