If you start talking about Sheila and "it rubs the lotion on it's skin" I'm totally sending Jodie Foster after you.

LOL, No, that needs to stay attached right where it is.

I am not usually at a loss for words, but maybe ?complexion?, would have been the call.

Although, with that said, I don't understand why the other lady couldn't just help out and pick up the freaking peach. What is wrong with people?

well... looks like the peach episode helped her realizing that she needs to change her lifestyle...

Mornin' All!

I feel like an overfilled water balloon again this morning. I did super well on eating yesterday, too. UGH. I think it might be at least partially the biking - I rode 19 miles yesterday, and I'm feeling it this morning - so it may be partially muscle inflammation due to that (although not totally, since I ate way too much over the weekend - so it's almost certainly partially due to that, too...). My weight was up a pound over last week. I'll check again tomorrow since the 3rd is my monthly weigh in (for my Excel spreadsheet) (as opposed to my Wed morning weigh ins, which are weekly and are put into MyFitnessPal).

I have to go grocery shopping and take my mom to the eye doctor today. Otherwise, it's a beautiful day and I should probably get out on my bike again, even though my body isn't excited about that prospect (I guess I could walk instead? At any rate, I need to be outside as there won't be too many more days like this for awhile!!!)

QOTD: I have so much to do for my three classes (reading, films, videos) and my film and book discussion groups that I don'****ch or read much that isn't related to one of those. Last night I watched the second half of "Bonnie & Clyde" and several videos on civil rights folks for my 1960s history class (Malcolm X, MLK, Stokely Carmichael, Muhammad Ali). There are also videos for my global health class that I need to get on top of again...I'm a bit behind. I'm way behind on readings for all three of my classes. I'm going to try not to have too many things going next semester so I can start reading and watching things that I pick out myself (I've liked most of the stuff I've had to watch/read for classes and groups, but i want to start reading/watching my own "stuff" again!!). BTW - DH is loving "The Watcher" - he and his mother lived in the next town over from Westfield NJ for MANY years, which is part of the appeal for him, I think....

B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake or protein latte (there's some coffee left from this morning...)

L: ?? Haven't decided

AS: protein muffin

D: the "eggroll in a bowl" I didn't make last night because my stomach wasn't happy.

have a great day, everyone!

QOTD- I've been stuck on The Good Wife, I never saw all of it when it was new. My roommate has Paramount+ so I've been indulging myself. Stephen King Fairy Tale, and a Jack Reacher book Echo Burning after that. I have a bunch of other holds too, so not sure what will come free next.

Thank you all for the kind thoughts. It's been raining and not very warm here, but I got out to the nature park yesterday. The rain held off and there was even some sun so it was wonderful. We don't really get fall colors but all of the maples were a bright yellow. The big pond before was more like a small pond but the rain filled it up again, and the creek was really flowing. What a difference a little rain can make. Unfortunately we are expecting an atmospheric river this weekend. The park is open sunrise to sunset and with the change in time, I'll have to try to get there earlier or go in the morning and work later.

I may have a DIY solution for the heater ducts for 2 of the 3 bedrooms upstairs. The furnace is in the garage and 2 of the 3 are right above it so we could extend the ducts fairly easily. I got an estimate of 8K for a new furnace, 8K for A/C and 5-7K for the duct work. Hence the DIY solution. I really want heat in my office because it's too cold to work in 60 degree temps, it's currently 64 and feels cold. I have the portable heater going but the fan noise really gets to me. I may call another company to get an estimate, right now I just want the ducts extended, I'll replace the furnace and add A/C later.

Kittens claws are really sharp one of them just startled me and I dumped my mocha all over the desk what a mess. They get their second shots this afternoon so I won't be able to get a walk in. I almost miss my treadmill but it just took up too much space.

Well I'd better get to work.

Have a great day everyone!

Its Hump Day Y'All

QJB-I am curious to how the workload is different for your class? I also enjoyed remembering the advice received during the first-year post-op. I was not surprised that many of us heard and took to heart a lot of the same advice. I still follow many principles that were encouraged. I do think that those same principles will keep us on track as long as we keep our mental focus and commitment to ourselves. I can see how easy it is to get off track with eating and exercise, how we make excuses for ourselves. For example, during vacation I indulged in extra calories and ate desserts I would normally avoid. Now that I am back home, mentally I am wanting to eat some of those items, but it is not a physical hunger it is all in my head. I think the "No Excuse November" is a good way for me to get my head on straight, avoid trigger foods (high simple carbs), and focus on eating correctly.

Yesterday I went to the movie Ticket to Paradise with a friend. I had heard that the movie was a steaming pile of dog doo doo but I really liked it. I wouldn't say it was fantastic, but it was entertaining if not a bit predictable. Definitely a chick flick. I was barely able to make it to my work out after the movie due to traffic. I had to change into my workout clothes on the drive to the yoga studio. Luckily, I had anticipated needing a quick change, so I had worn clothes that were amendable to this situation.

QOTD: I am reading I am Glad My Mom is Dead, which for an autobiography is really good and entertaining. I just finished The Most Precious Substance on Earth, this was good but not great and Verity, which I did like and had a decent twist at the end. I am listening to Schindler's List on audible. Streaming includes The Good Fight on Amazon, a spin-off of the Good Wife, it has great characters but is a little political since it was filmed during the Trump era. I will be starting the second season of White Lotus once DS and I finish the Jeffery Dahmer series on Netflix. Also on Netflix Jeffery Dahmer, and The Watcher. My son wants to watch Narcos: Mexico with me. He has watched it once already and is re-watching but I would need to get caught up.

Accountability: Excellent

My meals are an exact repeat of yesterday.

E: going for a 2-fer today 60 min hot hatha yoga, 60 min hot power yoga

Have a great day.
