What's on your Wednesday Menu?
When I was younger, I always wondered how the "older" generations were so out of touch with current music and celebrities. I now see that 1) you just don't care who is popular, 2) music changes but maybe your listening tastes do not, 3) your taste in movies and tv matures, and 4) celebrities are not the same as they were when we were younger (i.e. TikTok influencers, YouTube people, etc.).

Good morning, everybody!
I watched this video last night. It's old but inspirational and still a good reminder of where I came from:

Although, with that said, I don't understand why the other lady couldn't just help out and pick up the freaking peach. What is wrong with people?
I tried to follow up and see where she is now. She still owns her gym, but no recent posts or pictures.
On the flight back from Dallas Sunday, I was seated next to an M.O. guy. It was me and a similar sized guy on the aisle and window towards the back of the plane. So one of the less desirable seats. Unfortunately, the larger man had one of the last seats assignments and was stuck between us.
I tried to channel Sheila's grace and empathy even without the lovely olive skin or impeccable tailoring. Fortunately, it was Southwest, so they don't slam those drink carts into aisle dwellers, because I was half out into the aisle for the whole two hours.
Today I desperately need to get my car serviced. So my plan is to go there between lifting this morning and Crosssfit this afternoon. Yes, I will be a total grub. Tonight is Happy Hour.
QOTD: Reading, mostly just John Sanford thrillers. I picked up the new jack Reacher book while I was in the airport Sunday. And I have my 2022 Folio Society delivery that I haven't started yet. TV is mostly football, Seal Team and murder shows. We are watching Fire Country, but not optimistic about it.
Breakfast: Egg sandwich
Lunch: Roast Beef
Dinner: Happy Hour
Have a great day, all!

I sat next to an M.O. woman on one of my flights home from the OH conference. She was in the middle seat and I was in the aisle seat. I felt for her since I was once where she was (as in....MO....not as in sitting in the middle seat!). She asked why I was in California, and I told her I was at a conference. She asked what kind of conference, so I told her. I felt kind of funny doing so, but...she asked, so... She looked said "oh" and looked away. I probably should have lied....just said a health conference or something.
I know exactly how you feel because I thought about saying, "I've been there, etc." if asked I would answer truthfully, but didn't want to volunteer information which may not be welcome.

Thanks for sharing the video, it was very inspirational. It does remind me of how I felt before WLS and how far I have come since surgery.
I was lucky on my flights as I was seated next to "regular" sized people. It does help that I am half the size I was before. I know when I travel with DH, the seats are too small. Even when he is in shape his shoulders are wider than normal.
