"I'm getting on board more with keeping things moving with foods with fat." are you referring to bowels? I use probiotics 1-2 times daily and have noticed they really help with keeping me regular. Along with my daily salads.

Have you tried crispy kale? I had some while in Mexico that was so tasty. A good substitute for potato chips. I am sure the ones I tried were a little higher in fat (thus the intense flavor), but I am going to try to make some for a low calorie treat using Pam.

Hi there! Yep, that's what I'm referring to. I have been taking Celebrate Balance every day but it doesn't seem to help. The corn fiber doesn't, either. Can I ask what kind you take?

And funny you mention kale. I looked at some last week but haven't ordered any. If you do find a good recipe that works, I'm all ears! Haven't managed too many salads yet. Soon, I hope!

I buy my probiotics from Amazon. The brand is Physician's Choice

I take one in the morning and second one at bedtime. The label reads once daily. I am sure that the prebiotics I consume (lettuce and such) also make a difference, but I do notice if I don't use the probiotics my bowels are not as reliable. I also think the probiotic brand makes a difference. I have used other brands such as Culturelle without the same success.

I did see a kale recipe that I will try once I am able to get to the grocery store to get the curly kale (I read the other non-curl kale doesn't work as well). Do you use AllRecipes.com? Here is the recipe I found and will be trying. In the comments section one of the reviewers stated that you can cut calories by using either Pam or a misto. Also, you can vary the spices based on preferences. Let me know if you try it.

Good morning ~ Our Halloween was short and sweet as expected. We only had maybe 5 or 6 groups - all little kids and so cute. I was passing out handfuls and about dumped the whole bowl into one cutie pies bucket that was empty because were her first house. There are still 20 or so pieces left - all Robs favorite. The ones that were remotely tempting for me were handed out first. I didn't eat a single piece - YAY! The tossing and turning with work dreams is killing me. During the day at work I'm killing it and confident plus I have so much support. But my dreams are haunted with self doubt and fear and keep me up. Yes I am doing a ton of work and trying to organize and fix all the things but I got this - so why all the dream worry? I hate work dreams. Anyway this seems to lead to more wine evenings and blowing off exercise...but my food has been great.

QOTD - I was a saint in the beginning following all rules. I wouldn't have done so well without OH for sure so I would say that joining here was the best advise I followed. Then came the gray area when I started testing and we all know what happens when you cross a line, it's hard to get back and stay there. It almost feels personal because of the emotions tied to past behavior.

d- ricotta bake w/zucchini

s-mini quest candy bar

+wine

no exercise - slept in yesterday

It's the work stress that makes you have those dreams. You are confident and give out that energy, but your subconscious is still struggling to catch up and feel as confident. Hence the dreams. That's only MHO.

Maybe flip your coping methods-workout and avoid the alcohol since the workouts can help relieve stress whereas the wine may disinhibit your mind. Hope you start to have more pleasant dreams.

G'morning all!

We survived Halloween. I think due to still being daylight time we didn't get many people up until 6:00-6:30. But when they started they really came. There were a couple of big dinosaurs that cracked me up because one of them got stuck on one of the plants and her air went out. I could hear her saying to the other one I can't get unstuck and the sister said too bad, more candies for me. We gave away 3 full bags Costco size (our usual is 4) and a box (30) of full size candies. We didn't break those out until 7:45 and the look of the late comers was priceless. They were yelling on the street and pointing towards out house "that's the good house!" DH was saying maybe we should get just full size candy bars next year. Uh, nope.

I am done with chocolate for a while now. I might whine the next couple of days for headaches due to sugar withdrawals but pay no attention. The system should be cleaned by Fri. I am back on the wagon starting this morning.

QOTD: start exercising right away, don't wait till you lose weight to incorporate working out. Get used to it and make it part of your day right off the bat. As soon as I got the green light (I think 3 weeks after WLS) I started and haven't stopped.

I'm taking the 5th for my menu yesterday, but it's the last time...until next holidays! ;)

I had a family of three kids with those blow up type costumes, they got stuck in the doorway, trying to get past each other, it was hilarious!!

That was great advise!! I remember being told that I didn't have to exercise to lose, but that I could if I wanted - Huh? All the people who are still doing well years later exercise just about everyday and that is my goal.
