WHO is counting the exact amount of candies given out? Out of curiosity I looked at the bags and they say the weight but not the exact number of candies. Do they have a ticker machine (like when you get on the ferries) and push them for every candy they give out? 352 is such an odd number. And what if you give a handful to one kid because she is dressed so cute, and give only 1 to another. How do you count those?

Marilyn says they count every year as a historical record, I guess. Perhaps not surprisingly, they are retired.

Great phot and perfect for Taco Tuesday. I also like how bright and vivid stadiums are with all the colors.

Our Halloween was much less than usual. DH and I bought a bunch of candy, he started handing it out by the handful (not full-sized candy bars). Not sure if it was because of the rain...but we usually have a lot of trick or treaters.

Love the costume! I have been eating tacos so much lately that I might resemble that soon!

Good morning QJB and menuers,

You know, Halloween has changed a lot. You used to go on the day, no matter the day of the week. Now there are events all weekend. Trunk or treats and events seem to be replacing a lot of the door to door.

QOTD - You know, I did hear the same you did and while very compliant in my regular day to day, I haven't been perfect with family or while traveling last week. I was told by the surgeon that I have 80 weeks. Probably the advice I'm trying to take to heart is building in the exercise because the movement matters and makes a difference. I the feeling after cooling down, and I know there are tons of benefits. Hoping to work up to more and varied activities but don't have the energy levels for extended things, still.

Today I'm having lunch to catch up with a colleague. We'll either walk to a Thai place or a crepe place. I've checked the menus at both and have a plan. Kind of hoping to end up with crepes since servings are smaller and no noodles or rice. Heading into the office in a bit. I have to stay later today, so I go in later to offset.

There are a few more clothes I'm putting aside to donate. I did pick up a couple of half-off shirts at Goodwill but didn't find any pants, which are really what I need. Right now everything I'm wearing is tied on. Another NSV - my band size is down to a 38 from a 44-46!

I have a coworker who sees me every couple of weeks or so who called me the incredible shrinking woman yesterday. Kind of amusing since he's one of a very few to say anything. He's also been trying very hard to lose weight the last few months and has been asking questions. Also found out another coworker or mine had a bypass done a few years ago. I had brought in some egg bites and she asked about and purchased the egg bite maker. Similar to me, she lives alone and has to work at meals for one.

Will exercise after work. Accountability is only that I ate some cashews last night as part of my cottage cheese and seaweed dinner. I'm getting on board more with keeping things moving with foods with fat. They're high in calories, and still not something my nutritionist approves of after talking it through no less than three times. :)

Menu

Egg bites with feta, pesto, and roasted bell peppers

Will take a protein bar, seaweed, and maybe some protein chips as a backup plan based on whatever happens with lunch. I plan on a chicken crepe or tofu entree with veggies if Thai

Yogurt for dinner

Have a great day everyone!

Yes! The variety is great. I try to use it a couple of times a week. If I were a Starbucks person it would already have paid for itself. Neat tool.
