Good morning! Nobody faint but I just got home from a high intensity work out class that started at 6:30 am. My first one ever and I'm having problems typing because apparently I am so worn out that it takes a lot of effort to actually depress the keys to make them type words. But I survived and checked off the exercise box for the day.

Ohhh Public service announcement: I made the tomato and goat cheese frittata on the OH home page and it's excellent!

I had a successful weekend food wise, but too much wine last night. I also burned my wrist making dinner (pre wine) and now have a big scorch mark to wear around for a few days. Saturday I barely moved my body as we were driving home from Vegas, but I did get in a good walk yesterday. Amy and I have a little competition going on exercise totals and she owned me last week. But I'm giving her a good run for her money this week already! Well, at least for this morning so far.

Today I get to go to the library and I have to go to the doc. Hormone implant is way overdue and I'm getting my flu shot. My ER doctor best buddy told me flu season i****ting early and hitting hard, so I'm getting the shot.

QoTD: I moved to progressives about 5-8 years ago. Trifocals actually. Can't read a damn thing or see a computer without them, and then just a tiny bit of help for long distance.

menu today hopes to be:

B: leftover frittata

L: pork all pastor on a bed of home made coleslaw

D: maui ribs, coconut rice, salad

Peace Everybody. I you don't hear from me tomorrow it's because my body is too sore to lift my arms to type!

Happy New Week-

Mine is a short work week since DD and I head to Mexico for a mini vacation. I am looking forward to seeing my sister and her family, warm weather, and fun activities. We will be doing a 8-hour outdoor adventure that includes zip lining, mule ride, waterfall rappelling. Should be fun. We also have a sunset horseback ride on the beach scheduled. Otherwise, some beach fun and relaxation. I am home today, work on Tuesday, then off for the rest of the week. I have also signed up for Burn for the Turkey 30-day challenge at the yoga studio. It is basically 30 classes in 30 days. If you can do this, then they give you a month of yoga free ($150 value). It starts Tuesday, so I will get one class in before I am gone. I will need to have a few 2 class days to make up for the vacation days. I wasn't thinking about the days I was going to be gone when I signed up for it. I definitely need to accomplish this goal since the prize is awesome.

My weekend was pretty relaxing, didnt do a whole lot other than my workouts, a few errands, and my yoga classes of course.

QOTD: I wear contacts everyday otherwise I would be blind. I have worn them since I was in junior high. I am 53 years old and do not need readers as of yet. Instead to accommodate for aging vision, the contact for my dominate eye is for distance (-450), then the non-dominate eye (-275) is a weaker strength and used for close vision. It works really well. However, if the light is poor really small print can be a challenge, but with adequate light I can read. I would be frustrated with the results of the Lasik would have been disappointing. IPart of the reason I never had Lasik is that I am a scardy cat when it comes to my vision. Other people that I know that have had Lasik have had good results, but I noticed that all of them needed readers (what I felt) earlier than usual.

Accountability: popcorn (lots) instead of protein frosty for evening snack. I need to stick my plan since my weight jumped 2 pounds this week.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with keto granola, blueberries, cold brew with half n half

L: Apple. blueberry, rasperry power greens chicken salad with light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

S: protein frosty, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 60 min inferno pilates with weights and bands

I got glasses in 4th grade and bought contacts as soon as I got out of high school and had a job. I had cataract surgery in July this year and it is amazing. I no longer need glasses to drive or see distance, but now need reading glasses.
