Good Morning and Happy Monday! What's happening in your world today?
I had a great weekend! I taught a super successful cookie decorating class on Saturday! Yesterday I got my booster & flu shot, then did a huge reorganization of my cookie supplies that were starting to take over more areas of the house than I care to admit :/ But I feel pretty good about how it looks now :)
And, I got a 98 on the paper I was worried about (YAY), so I ended all of my first semester classes with a 99 average! Woot! I hope the next ones go as well!
Not much on the horizon today. Grim and I might go shopping for new living room furniture and run a few more errands. Otherwise, I hope to just do some serious relaxing.
QOTD: How is your vision? I was 20/20 until I turned 40, but then I needed glasses for vision. It's been almost one year since I had Lasik surgery and my vision is still wonky from it. They promised me that I would wake up with perfect vision, but when I didn't they extended it to--maybe 3 months, 6 months, or a year. It has steadily gotten better, but I still have a halo over my left eye.
B: Egg Whites, Onion, Ham & Feta
L: Buffalo Chicken
S: Babybel Cheese
D: Chicken Parm

I feel that meme! Yay on the paper! That's so awesome!
My immune system is one of the good things I've got going on. I had planned on getting my booster and flu shot last week. BUT I couldn't get any vaccinations two week before or one week after my pain pump trial. I'll be getting them as soon as I can! My mom has been sick and now just has a lingering cough. My brother had been sick too. I haven't as of yet and no inclination that I am soon to be sick.
A lot planned for the day. We need to pick up a few prescriptions and we're going to a certain grocery store. Also need to run to the post office.
My eating over the weekend wasn't on point at all. Time to reign it in today!
QOTD: right now it's 20/20 for normal lengths from the cataract surgery. I do need readers though...ugh...
B: Oatmeal & coffee
L: my mom is wanting me to make a gluten free focaccia to do pizza on so that'll likely be my lunch
D: likely the same as lunch
S: popcorn, 1/2 cup keto friendly cereal, breakfast biscuit

hi all
saturday we ran a few errands, yesterday i did the grocery pickup and some sourcing. I did go to west elm to look at sofa's. we are debating bwetween a new mattress (this one is almost 5 years old) and was on the cheaper side versus getting a sectional or reclining sofa and doing away with DH's recliner. not sure.
we also finally got the car back and they did a very good job repainting in that one tiny spot.
QOTD: mine is bad. started with glasses in the 3rd grade, moved to contacts, then realized contacts made my eyes get infections and tried every kind. Now i just am resigned to the glasses. i do also have a pair of sunglasses with my prescription.
food today:
coffee coffee water
cheese and flat wrap
last of heart of palm lasagna
dinner: either ham and veggies or breakfast for dinner.
thinking breakfast
weight is up from the latest lowest so need to focus on that a bit better/
Did you read about the woman who went to the doctors with blurry vision and had 23 disposable contact in her eye? it's totally freaking me out.

Good morning and happy monday!
QOTD - I had glasses from kindergarten until my mid 30s, had Lasik and didn't need corrective lenses for about 15 years but last year I did get new glasses for reading and the computer but I hardly ever wear them.
Besides the usual work stuff my goals for today are to finish the wicked fit challenge on my elliptical for my second virtual badge of the month, make a new chicken dish that I've thought of and pick up the house a bit. I should also probably rake the front yard but it was pretty windy yesterday so I'm hoping it blew the leaves away.
menu
Coffee plus half and half
English muffin with scrambled egg
Polish sausage
Chicken breasts
Have a great day everyone!

Mornin' All!
I have my book discussion group at 10:00 and a committee meeting (via Zoom) from 12:30-2:00. I have a lot of catching up to do in my classes - I managed to get behind last week because of stuff I needed to read/watch for my book and film discussion groups, so that's on the agenda for today, too. I was hoping to get some exercise today as well, but it's supposed to rain - so no biking - and DH and I walked six miles yesterday, so my feet aren't up for walking or Zumba. I may just go to the gym and do the seated elliptical machine - or something. I was at a party Friday night and my eating was out of control. Not much better Saturday (or at least Saturday night - I was fine during the day). Yesterday was OK...and today will be OK, too!
QOTD: I've had to wear glasses for driving since I was around 30. I still just wear them part-time because my vision isn't horrible and I don't like wearing them - so basically just for driving and occasionally during things like meetings or conferences when I can't see the PowerPoint presentation very clearly. I also have reading glasses but only wear them when I'm struggling to read really small print - mostly on labels because fortunately, not too many books have ridiculously small print.
B: I have protein oatmeal (with fruit) written down, but I may change this to plain skyr with fruit, because I'm not hungry - and I need to take advantage of that! Coffee with half & half.
MS: I'll take a protein shake to the book discussion group
L: grilled cheese with tomato slices and rosemary (on 35-calorie bread), cole slaw with Asian-style dressing
AS: hopefully nothing - but I do have apples and pears that would work...
D: salmon, small sweet potato with butter and Swerve brown "sugar"
have a great day, everyone!
