Good Morning! Friday-Eve and it'll be a doozy! That meme is me today as well. Yesterday, we discovered an error that we was being made on the current payroll (luckily someone told us before we paid it out) but the error also occurred last month. So we have to make a bunch of corrections and delay our process today. I'm frustrated with myself for not being more diligent about reviewing the workbooks we use but my team prefers autonomy, which is hard as one of the team members was a peer before... if you've been in this type of situation you might relate to that struggle.

QOTD: Full panel annually and then 2-3 times a year for my iron. JB- make sure getting that on your calendar is a priority today!!!

TSS: 8 years 2 months

B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, SF pudding and some fruit

S: Protein puffs, a piece of fruit and yogurt

D: Grilled chicken nuggets, toast, sliced orange/banana, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Greek yogurt

E: Elliptical

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1372 Protein:116 Carbs: 136 Fat:48

Have a great one!

I always point out that leading the team you used to be part of is the toughest job in management.

Good morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Just popping on to say Ron's has got relief from his procedure. Now I got to play catchup all day with my customers. Hope you all have a great Thursday and hope I have more time tomorrow. I am going to a pound class tonight, so I am going to work out. Slowly but surely, I'll get back in the grove.

Brightest blessings everyone.

Chrissy

Yay! For Ron's pain relief. That is great news.

What is pound class? I assume you pound on something (did you say a drum or something similar before?).

Mornin' All!

This will be a pretty busy day. I have one of my film discussion groups over lunch (12:30-2:00), then my in-person class, then a dinner/sound bath at one of the local yoga studios (haven't been to a sound bath in two or three years (not sure they even had them because of COVID). Someone "plays" those Tibetan singing bowls while the participants just lie on their backs - it's fabulous...). I'm really behind on classes because I've had to read two books for my book discussion group that meets on Monday morning. I finished the first one last night and have to really hustle to read the second one - I'll be out of town all day Saturday (meeting up with my cousin in Iowa), so this will be an intense weekend, too.

Yesterday I made savory shortbread for a party I'm going to tomorrow night. This was a disaster because I realized halfway through baking them that I'd lined the cookie sheet with wax paper rather than parchment paper. I read online that wax paper starts to melt at 420 degrees F, whereas I was baking at 350, but I didn't want to take any chances, so I threw out the shortbread and started over again. Finished all this late last night (because for best results, the dough has to be refrigerated for several hours before baking). UGH. Not sure how I could have possibly made that mistake, but at least it's been rectified and I'm good to go for tomorrow night.

I'm guilty of "testing" the shortbread last night - devoured way too many calories and I'm feeling it this morning. I'm going to go to a Zumba class or get out on my bike before the film group today. Hopefully that'll help me feel less like I just ate a horse - plus I need the exercise regardless.

QOTD: I still have an annual appt with my clinic (the PA and the dietitian), and the PA always orders the blood tests a month or two before the annual appt so I have plenty of opportunity to get my labs done before we meet. My PCP and endocrinologist (for osteoporosis) rarely have to order labs (or at least blood ones) because the WLS ones are pretty comprehensive. The endocrinologist has ordered a bunch of 24-hour urine tests in the past, though (and she'll order two more once I start a new drug next year - before and a couple of months after), all because it was discovered early on that I hyper-absorb calcium and I was killing my kidneys (she had me keep cutting back on calcium supplements until she had me drop them altogether. This new drug can also cause hyperabsorption of calcium, so she wants to monitor that - so I probably have a lot more 24-hour urine tests in my future...). I really hate those. Not literally painful, but a giant PITA...

Two meals out today (lunch and dinner), so this isn't carved in stone by any means:

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: I'm planning on ordering the side salad (it has a hard-boiled egg on it) with dressing on the side. Plus a cup of soup if it sounds healthy and interesting

AS: protein muffin or protein bar (?)

D: a vegan dinner is provided as part of the sound bath (we'll have the dinner before the sound bath) - I have no idea what they're making, but it's certain to include a lot of veggies if it's vegan!

have a great day, everyone!
