What's on your Thursday Menu?

Ah that little pink blob is me today. On the good side... I nailed the paper!!! I just needed a fresh set of eyes to edit and reframe, and I think it ended up being my best one yet. :)
Buttttt, when I went to turn it in I realized I was due last Sunday! OMG. The most frustrating part of online school thus far has been that the assignments are copy/pasted from previous sessions and they all have multiple due dates. I basically trained myself to ignore the dates (this paper had a final date of July 4) and just turn everything in on the usual cadence-- discussions due on certain days, and papers due later in the week. But this final paper had a due date of last Sunday on the syllabus which I completely missed.
The professor and I have established a good relationship so I am praying he takes my apology, shows leniency, and doesn't give me a zero. I am trying not to ******vous wreck but I definitely didn't sleep well last night.
Time to move on to a day of cookies cookies cookies and Aurora Teagarden movies to fix my mood!
QOTD: How often are you getting post-op bloodwork? I am on an annual schedule but I forgot to get it this July. Making the appointment is on my list of things to do today!
Accountability: 2 glasses of Champagne Bellini as a celebration of the end of the semester/wallowing in my sadness over the paper. Back to sober October today!
My menu is up in the air. I never did that Instacart order the other day so I am heading to the store first thing when it opens. The cupboards are BARE!
Hoping for the store has my usual faire - eggs, veggie burger, string cheese, etc... :)

Good mornin everyone! That's gotta be super frustrating JB, crossing my fingers he is lenient!
My stomach recovered mid day yesterday. I think it was something that I ate. So I made my appointment at PT. I am now of course super sore but oh well.
Today looks to be pretty laid back. We may go to Walmart. My mom has some sort of head cold thing so we may just stay home. I think we should stay home but she'd mask up if we do go out. We could use some groceries but nothing pressing.
QOTD: not on a super regular schedule but I'm due in early November.
B: JUST egg cup & coffee
L: tilapia and maybe some carrots
D: ???
S: pretzels, veggie burger and ???
Mel
If the dates are that messed up, I am sure your instructor will be lenient. I sometimes end up being late because my company runs on Pacific Time and I get confused. I should end up being early but I just cross the times in my head sometimes.
I get monthly bloodwork due to kidney problems and diabetes. I did once a year with the weight loss surgery for the first ten years but now get so much other bloodwork that I don't even think about doing it there.

Good morning! Happy "yay, it's almost Friday"! Glad you have that behind you QJB.
I have four hours of meetings and then I drive to the office for another few hours of meetings before I meet a friend for dinner at an incredible Indian place we both like. I'm also going to squeeze in a quick boxing workout since I won't have time for a machine plus workout.
My trainer had a killer program for me yesterday; I swear my whole body was still shaking an hour after I got home, it was excellent.
QOTD - twice a year; my GP will order labs whenever I want so I get a few periodically if I feel I need but for the most part 2X a year is working for me.
menu
coffee plus half and half
yogurt
barbell bars
samosa and either the lamb kulcha naan or chicken kabob plus naan. Definitely a samosa and naan of some kind
Have a great day everyone!

Mmm, Indian food. Paneer and naan are so good! Enjoy your friend time. Also glad to hear you have such a supportive doctor. Cheers.

I love Indian food. So much flavor. I like to increase the spiciness for added heat. I think it enhances the flavors.

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Ack! Thinking about that deadline produces that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. Hopefully your professor works with you. And now you get a break! From school, anyway.
QOTD- Mine is scheduled to be annually once I get to that point. For now, three times in just over three months. Next is scheduled in January before moving to annual.
Happy Thursday. I'm still coping with whatever I have by sleeping and staying warm. Seems to kind of be helping. Five or six meetings today that don't need quite as much preparation as yesterday, so yay for that. Need to get up and about (posting curled up on the couch with a warm dog parked on top of me). Onward!
Accountability- Did not exercise. I'll try today but might not due to congestion/muzziness/yuck. It's funny how guilty I feel for it even though I know it would be a bad idea while sick.
Menu
Chowder, last of the meatloaf, yogurt x2, seaweed, more hot tea.
Cheers, everyone.

If you feel bad about not exercising, try a slow to moderate paced walk that isnt too strenuous just for movement. Keep the time limit to no more than 30 minutes. It is important to listen to your body, rest while you can, drink plenty of water. I hope you feel better soon.

QJB - my son did two online classes this summer and had similar issues with due dates and each professor using a slightly different system.

That sucks! I hope he didn't get penalized for it.
The first week I thought I was going to lose my mind. The assignments are posted in like 4 or 5 places on Blackboard and they all have different dates. It's so hard to follow. But I can own that I should have been more thorough in triple checking. Lesson learned.
