Mornin' All!

actually, it's tomorrow and Friday that are booked-solid days, not today - so I have a lot of time to plow through my required reading ("required" for my book discussion group, that is) and bake the rosemary/parmesan shortbread thingies I'm taking to the party on Friday. Whew. I was thinking today was going to be bad, too - but no. I'll get some exercise today, too - maybe a Zumba class or a long walk if it's not windy (it's cold - but if it's not too windy it might be OK. It IS sunny and beautiful out...). We're due for a warm-up this weekend (70s!!) - really looking forward to that!

QOTD: I did when I was working. Now, not so much. I'm able to find lots of things to distract myself, and when I'm feeling stressed while working on something, I'm usually able to break away and do something to entertain/de-stress myself for awhile (the whole work/life balance thing - feeling stressed isn't good for me, my brain, or my eating, so I try not to let myself get to that point anymore). On the other hand, I get things done and never miss deadlines, so it's OK...

I haven't really thought about my menu today, but I'll take a stab at it:

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: probably nothing since i haven't eaten breakfast yet

L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie or else a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato slices and rosemary

AS: protein shake or protein muffin, apple

D: salad with chicken breast and light dressing

have a great day, everyone!

Someone needs to create a kitten daycare, so I could get a break from these 3 little hellions that are driving me crazy. I even had to look up how long before a kitten becomes a cat- too long in my case... I have to keep saying they are so cute! And they can be adorable.

I affectionately call kittens fur-covered razor blades. Because, well...they are. Adorable little balls of destruction. I can't imagine three at once!

unfortunately, one of my adult cats (age 12) still acts like a kitten. Most eventually outgrow it, but not this one...

That meme is cute "Fitness Protection Program". LOL

QJB-Eddie did a great job on your logo. I like you can get carried away with writing a paper. I usually dislike it when the instructor restricts the number of words or pages because I then have to decide what to cut from the paper. Which to me makes it not as complete of thoughts. Good luck on finishing it today.

I will probably leave a little early from work today since I need to get my nails done. I want to be done before my 5:30pm yoga class. I will be meeting DD at the nail salon then right off to yoga from there. Other than that, not much except the usual work things. No meetings today though.

QOTD: I like to think I use my time well. Since WLS I like to keep busy with tasks and activities. Not to say I dont waste time doing nothing like looking at shopping sites online or Facebook.

Accountability: Excellent-I did switch out my evening protein frosty for popcorn and I didn't overindulge!

B: triple zero greek yogurt with keto granola & blueberries, cold brew with half n half

L: Summer salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

S: 4 squares sf chocolate, 100 cal bag popcorn

E: 60 min hot yoga

Have a great hump day.

Good morning! It was hot yesterday! A surprise for all of us. I got in about an hour and 15 minutes of a walk and and an hour of chair yoga and I was beyond exhausted the rest of the day. I need a rest day, but that has to wait for tomorrow because Roger wants to try and tackle the stairs today. Amy is standing by with bail money if I kill him on the 14th flight or something. I did good on food. The guys ordered pizza and I made a salad with left over bulgogi for protein. But I had two glasses of wine while watching the game (GO PADRES!). And I had a 200 calorie snack. I really burned a lot yesterday, but I can't let myself out eat that. Rest day comes tomorrow with a quick trip over to Vegas. I doubt I'll get any real exercise tomorrow, but will take my work out clothes for Friday and Saturday morning.

Today is all stairs, packing and paying bills. Again, if I survive the stairs, the rest will be a cake walk.

QoTD: I do think I use my time wisely. Everything gets done and I'm rarely in a panic and I enjoy a nice quiet reading hour while Roger naps every afternoon!

Food is eating leftovers today so a bit weird

B: leftover pulled pork and 2 oz cottage cheese

L: deli turkey, 1 lite sting cheese, a bit of mayo to make roll ups and 20 pop chips

D: left over maui rib, salad, teriyaki rice and maybe some more pork. I have like one tablespoon of each of these things left.

There's an open bottle of wine on the counter with about one glass left...chances are that will be in my gullet before the day is done.

Peace Everybody and remember -- GO PADRES today!
