My guilty pleasure is surprising others with totally unexpected gifts. I would have bought Eddie for you. You work so hard and this will help your business so much and I am sure will make the decorating faster and easier. I am sending my nephew's family an Omaha Steak surprise next week. Trying to decide on a surprise for my sister (either Omaha Steak or restaurant gift certificate to somewhere they will love and have not been often). Think it will be Ruth Chris in Cleveland. Both have given me a lot of help recently.

Hello Menu Friends,

QJB-what a fantastic gift for you. I cant believe you actually need to bring your cookies to the next level as they already look gorgeous. It is nice to be spoiled.

At work today. I have a few meeting. I also need to finish my data abstraction for the months since I will be out of the office starting next Wednesday through the end of the month (trip to Mexico). Otherwise, not much to report.

QOTD: I dont know if it is actually a guilty pleasure but the monthly massages, the facials, getting my nails done, etc that are only for my pleasure sometimes feels selfish since it all adds up cost wise. But I am not willing to give those up since I feel I deserve to treat myself.

Accountability: Good. Did have a bite of the chocolate rum cake DD made with her friend. Very delicious. Stopped at one bite.

B: triple zero greek yogurt, blackberries, keto granola, cold brew with half n half

L: Summer salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Chicken Asian Salad with sesame ginger dressing

S: 4 squares sf chocolate, protein frosty

E: 60 min hot yoga vs. inferno pilates (depending on what time I am done with work today)

Have a terrific Tuesday.

Good morning! Looks like a nice day here today and I'm going to get out in it. I'm going to walk to yoga the L-O-N-G way, do yoga and walk home the long way to try to keep moving. My thigh muscles are very tired still from yesterday, but my husband wants to do the stairs with me tomorrow, so I hope I have recovered enough. I did very well on food yesterday and stuck to plan, except for one small piece of cheddar jalapeno loaf that I had defrosted. About 80 calories and a few more carbs than my plan was for the day.

After my class/walk today we have to hit up Costco so that might invite eating lunch out. We shall see. We leave for a quick trip to Vegas Thursday morning and I need to be able to finish up laundry and get ready for that! Going over so Rog can go to the Golden Knights game with our oldest.

QoTD: Probably wine. Not so often the quantity of it as the quality of it. I just ordered Roger a half case of an amazing wine we found in Paso for his birthday in two weeks. He's going to be very excited (as are the neighbors he always shares with!)

Menu guesses for today:

B: more left over pulled pork and two oz cottage cheese

L: if we go out to eat, maybe a grilled shrimp protein bowl. If at home, left over beef stew that has to be eaten before we leave.

D: thinking shrimp, cauliflower gnocchi (that I did not make yesterday) a bit of alfredo sauce and a salad

Peace Everybody.

QB That Grim is a keeper for sure! Presents for no occasion are the best.

QOTD. A guilty pleasure for me is something enjoyed but I did not share with others. Like going for a pedicure alone, by myself. Todays Gastro Health appointment doesn't qualify, there was no pleasure it that.

Insurance adjuster came to assess the roof damage from Ian. He said the damage is far worse than it looks. All shingles and underlayment is loose and just lying up there not being secured. It all lifts up with just a breeze. They will tell me the $ number in a few days. Deductible for Ian is $6700. Hurricanes are always a financial hit. There are 56 people at work that lost everything, homes and vehicles. Many more that lost just a vehicle or just the home. All of us had significant damage. Electric and water is back on for those that can receive power, some are too damaged. Ian has consumed everyone's lives in this county and will continue to do so for months to come. Many people have lost their jobs too, those people often move away and to start anew. I am so lucky I can live in my home, as housing is in short supply and expensive if found. Counting my blessings each day!

Menu Tuna, orange, grapes, left over pizza? Steamed Veggies for sure. Feeling uninspired with food choices.
