What's on your Monday Menu?

TBH - I didn't end up gambling. I went to Harrah's Starbucks at 6am everyday because it was closer and about died. I wanted to gamble so bad, but couldn't stand the smell. The Casino near where I live has several non-smoking rooms though I never go.

I grew up with a mother that smoked. When she remarried her husband also smoked. They always wanted to sit in the no smoking section when going to dinner. Then her husband would light up when you were still eating. Ugh, way to ruin the meal. I love that most restaurants are smoke-free. Casinos though, yuck on the smoke.

When you said you were going. I was torn between warning you about the smoke and not ruining your fun. I don't think you missed anything.

Mornin' All!
this is going to be a really busy week (for a retiree), so I'm going to try to get as much done today as possible. I have to make something for a social engagement I have on Friday night and unlike usual, I'm struggling to find something because I really won't have much time to make it. I found an interesting recipe for an apple bourbon cake, but it sounds pretty labor intensive, so that might have to wait for a later party. I'll find something. Some kind of bars should be easy - and something fall-ish, like with apples, pumpkin, and/or maple...
today I just need to exercise and take DH over to the car place to drop his car off (tune up). I'll be spending the rest of the day reading and film watching for upcoming discussion groups.
QOTD: London popped into mind immediately. I don't want to struggle with language issues (lazy, I know...), and I've always wanted to see more of the UK. So...London. Although there are so many cities that I love -
B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: grilled cheese on 35-calorie bread with tomato slices and rosemary and vegetables
AS: protein muffin, apple
D: gnocchi with marinara sauce
have a great day, everyone!
So many cities to explore but so little time (and not enough money)! There are some great picks that I never thought of.

Good morning ~ I hope you feel better and make good progress on your paper JB! Totally forgot I had jury duty until I got a text and an email from the county that I didn't need to report today. I'm so glad I signed up for that service. This weekend was lovely and relaxing even though I did my best to stay active. There was definitely wine Fri/Sat, but food was on point. Today I'm full immersion training with my co-worker who is leaving. Since I've been out of the office so much lately, I couldn't have more to do so there will be some long days this week - salary sucks at these times! So far I really like the change and look forward to all the new challenges ahead. The conference really pumped me up as well - onward!
QOTD - Not so fun fact - I've traveled all over the US, but not outside the US, ever. I love the idea of a walkable city and from my heart it would be Dublin or London. US would be NYC for sure.
Yesterday:
b-coffee, eggs, cheddar w/green chilis
l -salad mix, chicken bites, pickles, chipotle aioli
d-homemade chili, chopped red onion, Greek yogurt
e -Logged 65 active minutes yesterday (dog walk and treadmill)- thank you LISA for fitness sharing and challenging me!!
