Yep, I get a week off between sessions! I have a big event on Saturday so I won't really get to relax and decompress until Sunday but them I am going to lay flat on my back for at least 3 days straight :)

So happy you had a great and energizing weekend!

I LOVED Istanbul! Wish I could have spent more time there!

I spent a year in DC once on a work assignment. There were four of us from other states and we did something fun most evenings. I flew home on Friday and back on Sunday. I would love to spend a year in New York city just having fun every day. My mother grew up in Brooklyn and I have a ton of cousins in the area.

OMG! The pretzels in Germany!!! It took all my willpower not to have one during the layover. Only the fear of getting stuck prevented me from saying F it and ordering it.

Good mornin everyone.

It was a rather low key weekend. Capped off by our neighbors leaving their dog out since 4 this morning and she barks her head off. So rude. I'm betting my mom will be grumpy today since her room directly faces their front yard.

Not a lot planned for the day and I hope it stays that way. I like low key days. I'm hoping to get a lot of chainmaille done today. I'm getting a supply refresh today and the should be stuff to get a ton of earrings made and quite a bit of pendants.

I've been having some shoulder pain and had the heating pad on them a lot yesterday. I think it helped.

QOTD: of the places I've been San Antonio or Edmonton, AB, Canada. San Antonio is just the coolest place I've been. So much to do! I didn't get to explore Edmonton much at all so that's why it's my second choice. I hated Houston...LOL

B: JUST egg bowl and coffee + caramel whipped cream

L: GF chicken nuggets and some kind of veggie

D: ????

S: raspberries, popcorn and maybe a coffee

Good morning, everybody!

If, on Friday morning, I list anything on my weekend plans other than Crossfit, Chili and football, please reach through the internet, place my nose between your thumb and forefinger and squeeze as hard as possible.

We had a nice time at Parent's weekend. We are optimistic that our son is settling in. He seems to be meeting people and classes don't seem to be too hard. It seems like colleges have made an effort to make the freshman year a little of a transition phase. I think that they do this to try and lower the dropout rates.

There was a Greek festival going on in town, so that was a yummy dinner Saturday night. Marilyn bought a dozen Greek pastries at the festival. I feel like I've been dumping more frequently lately, so I just had half of a cookie. I think that she ended up with a post-baklava hangover as a result of my abstinence.

Three weekends in a row away is a lot though. And I'm doing it again starting the 28th of October.

QOTD: I think that Tokyo or Seoul would be really cool. But I have no language skills, so I am going to go with Barcelona. Sun, beach, wine food, etc.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Roast beef

Dinner: TBD, we need to sho after being away.

Have a great day, all!

Baklava is another thing I would risk dumping for. Happy Marylin enjoyed them.

Did you make it to the casino? When I was there, I asked one of the ****tail waitresses where the non-smoking section was. She looked at me and said "oh my God, I wish ".
