Great news from your follow-up appointment. It is so nice to be able to add food textures and variety. Love those NSV! I remember when a regular towel barely fit around me gapping to show my fat belly. I can now wrap it around me where it crossed over to the other side of my body (overlapping). So awesome to see those changes. I am getting IPL in November for color spots on my face. I have done it before in the past and it seems to work well. I had to look up melasma, I dont think that is what I have but I am not a dermatologist.

Ooh, that's an amazing NSV! Someday. :)

And yep, you're right. Texture expansion is great! Crunchy, raw stuff. Just need to figure out how to get it in.

Glad IPL works for you! How long does it last? Were there a lot of side effects? I'd have been fine with it since it also treats redness (rosacea) and other things.

They just informed me Monday after I got there that you can't treat melasma with heat, and I'd set up the appointment without them having seen me in person. I ended up with the Ultra resurfacing and Vasculaze. The second had instant results and I'm super happy with it so far. Resurfacing turned my face bright red and feels like a sunburn. Results for that are TBD. I have two more appointments on the books, so will be interesting to see how it turns out. Cheers!

I had no side effects from IPL (redness or irritation). I did multiple treatments, I thought it lasted for a while but it has been long enough that I dont remember. I have also done micro needling. I am not sure I noticed much from that but the person who does my facials said they could tell by the firmness of the skin. Maybe I just have unrealistic expectations (why cant I look like a twenty-something year old ;-)?). My facialist want to do a chemical peel on me, says it will make a difference, but I think I will do the IPL first.

You know...technology continues to improve and I hear great things about IPL. Chemical peels kind of scare me because of what they do and the fact that I have super sensitive skin. Lasers over chemicals, I guess! Glad your facialist is working with you. I'm newish in the aesthetics space...was shocked at how many options exist these days from fillers, lasers, peels, etc. Whew!

Good mornin everyone, hope you're all well.

Not a lot planned for the day. My first aquatic PT is today at 3 and it's the only thing set in stone today. I've got about 4 hours of very chopped up sleep under my belt for today. You'd think I'd be used to this by now but man do I still drag. Our crappy neighbors left their dog out all night. She has a LOUD bark and uses it very often.

Food yesterday was a bit off. My doctor upped the Ozempic to .5 yesterday so I start that today.

QOTD: cozy. Alllll the way.

B: Oatmeal and coffee

L: half a sandwich and possibly a salad

D: ???

S: .5 serving of Fritos, maybe a PP shake and pistachios

Thank you! It did but I am so very sore right now. I just wish I had something to help with the pain.

Good morning and yay Wednesday. After yesterday's waking up tired, was very happy to be back to my waking up at 330 with no alarm clock and feeling rested. The earlier than usual night worked!

Have so much fun and happy birthday to your dad. Is this the restaurant with the biscuits? I would skip the drink and have the biscuits, lol but it's a birthday so I might have both!

Today is a rower and Boxing Day, lots of work meetings but not as many as usual and a reasonable time to turn off so it will be a good day.

qotd - both but cozy season lasts longer!

coffee plus half and half

cold brew mocha

english muffin with egg

yogurt

pumpkin empanada

have a wonderful Wednesday!
