I used to have huge Halloween parties with 50-100 people in costumes. My cats were dressed in some cut Halloween outfit that they did not appreciate. My brother was always dressed as a white gorilla and hid in the woods and chased the little kids. One year they said they figured out that it was Uncle Bob. That year, Bob's son dressed as the gorilla and when the gorilla appeared and Bob was standing there, the kids were really convinced that it was a real gorilla.

Your white gorilla story is identical to my Santa story. For years my dad's friend would show up as Santa at our house on Xmas eve. The older kids after 3-4 yrs had figured it out but the younger ones started to be suspicious. So one year his son dressed as Santa while he stood in the corner of the room. The kids were really shocked.

The gorilla and Santa story are great. What a great way to make kids believers again! It is sad when children lose the magic of Santa Claus. I will say, though, that it does make it easier not having to hide the Santa gifts before Christmas.

My 8 year old son wanted a telescope. I found a great deal on one during the summer and hid it in the attic. One day my son was excited and said that Santa did not need to bring him a telescope because he had found one in the attic.

G'morning all!

Yup, that meme is me every Mon. I plan all week for my Sat cheat (high carb) day, and sometimes it slips into Sun. Then come Mon I'm craving all the carbs.

I had forgotten I have a class I need to go to today. Good thing I had a reminder to myself to pop up last night. It's the election officer class that they make us go to every time you volunteer to work at the polls. Another good thing is that I signed up for it now, instead of later because by the time I come back it's only a week before elections. So off I go today for half a day of election classes and then an afternoon appt of facial treatment to get me all clean and prep for my family to see me. Tomorrow is hair appt. Can't show up with a grey hair in my head.

QOTD: We are not going to a party but our neighborhood gets really busy and I love surprising the kids when I open the door. I might dress up as a witch (something easy) because our whole Halloween decoration in witch theme. I also have a beautiful skull sweatshirt that I might wear and be a zombie. Possibilities are endless.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Kebab w/Fage yogurt as dip
  • Jello, keto bombs, plantain chips
  • Zero sugar Archer beef jerky + hb egg
  • E: cardio + weight

Happy taco tue.

Sheila, if I send you my son's resume could DH take a look at it. Only from a technical engineering perspective. I've been helping him with general resume construction, but not being an engineer myself don't really know if he is skipping any important points.
