What's on your Tuesday Menu?
I took the following from the visit:
I need an Endoscopy in next couple months - is this routine after a year?
-Don't beat myself up. This is a lifelong process. Starving myself can lead to binges. (I've been reigning it in too much after eating like **** and feeling guilty about it)
-Go a little higher than 60g protein goals, back to basics
-Track foods not calories MyFitnessPal until I build up consistency again
-150 cal Individual bag of popcorn 1x/week treat
-use PP shake one meal per day to get back started
-Ok to eat out once a week as long as I'm making decent decisions
-Ok for pumpkin or sugar coffee once every other week or month
-increase activity Daily chair exercise YouTube series

Protein forward is key for me. I usually end up around 100 grams of protein daily. It keeps me satisfied. Not to say I dont experience head hunger because I do. I try to recognize it for what it is, try to find an activity to keep my mind off food (not TV or reading), and increase my water intake. I use a lot of Crystal light in my water that seems to help with needing sweets and chewing sf gum.
I drink a cold brew everyday but do not use sugar (I think you have also mentioned either cold brew or iced coffee). Make your own, use sf flavor syrups, stevia for sweetener, measure any creamers. Build the calories into your meal planning for accountability.
You can do this to reach your goals. Try to focus on the outcomes you want to achieve. Think about the hip surgery you are trying to work toward so you can live life pain free and more active. Visualize what you want.

Have you asked about medical bariatrics as an adjunct to your surgery? It is recommended that this is added sooner than later for those struggling with eating behaviors, cravings, etc.
I would love to see the group Halloween picture you described. It is a must for your photo Friday post!

I'm almost 5 years it and haven't been recommended for an endoscopy; however, I know there can be more acid issues with VSG so maybe that's why?

Good morning ~ Glad you are feeling better. I've had GERD a handful of times since RNY and it always makes me worry my hernia is back. It was a very long drive - 8 hours The drive was beautiful, but the burnt forests literally made me cry. Walked all over town checking out the sights. So many pizza and BBQ places! Today I have a full day then back on the town to check out some art galleries tonight. I'm definitely having tacos (innards) from this Latin place called Azul tonight. There is a group event tomorrow - dinner and a magic show at The Loft tomorrow. I honestly want to skip it to go hike but it should be fun.
It's 6 am and I'm headed to the Starbucks - it's a 7 minute walk. Nothing opens in the hotel until 7, what a shame!
Yesterday I ate:
b- coffee, SB latte, SB egg white bites
l- in and out burger, protein style no sauce
d-burrito salad in a bowl - just steak and veg
e - Tons of walking - I logged 73 active minutes.
coffee, water and unsweetened ice tea - no wine!
Today is conference food - easy enough to navigate. Off to Starbucks!!
Have a great day!
