Hey kids! Happy Taco Tuesday!

I got nothin' today. I feel much better! I was super busy yesterday making up for my lazy Sunday but I feel like I am in a decent place. Never even got a chance to come back and read the thread. If I push through another super crazy day today I should be able to get back to having a normal-ish Wed & Thurs "weekend".

Oh, in other news I finally kicked the GERD and surprise--I am not hungry! For those of you who have been posting with me for 7 years, you know I go through this cycle all the time. You'd think I would learn but it's always a surprise that when I get my acid under control my hunger goes away. I should probably just stay on Omeprazole, but I don't like the long term side effects.

QOTD: Will you be dressing up for Halloween this year? I want to because I always love dressing up, but I don't think I have any plans this year and no office to go to...so I probably won't dress up to hand out candy.

B: Costco Egg Bites

S: String Cheese

L: Veggie Burger w. cheese

D: Chicken Tacos (no wrap)

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

QOTD - yes, I have two costumes ready to go, one for cold weather and one for not as cold!

No one will be surprised if I say I have a bunch of meetings today, along with my personal trainer this afternoon. I woke up pretty tired so I am thinking about how I can get everything I need to done and go to bed early, so that's my day before 5 am lol.

menu today

coffee with half and half X2

small mocha cold brew

English muffin and scrambled egg

TBD on lunch and dinner

If any of you use the Power Crunch bars, I saw a new flavor over the weekend Strawberry. I tried one yesterday and they taste just like the strawberry wafer cookies you used to/can get in the vanilla-chocolate-strawberry pack. Consider that a warning or recommendation depending on your likes/willpower, lol.

Have a terrific day!

One of my coworkers mentioned the strawberry but I haven't seen it yet. Recently, I've seen two that I hadn't seen before, s'mores and chocolate coconut.

I tried the s'mores a while ago. Real s'mores were better (in my memory at least, lol)

Ah, the sugar wafer cookie flavor. The strawberry is generally the best of those cookies. The Power Crunch bar sounds very good. I find that eating protein bars make me hungry faster than eating real food but will use in a pinch. I will give these a try.

It is funny that when I wake up tired I tell myself I will go to bed early but usually end up going to bed at my usual time. 9:30 pm is an early night for me.

Good mornin everyone!

Well...yesterday I walked about half a mile and this morning my left leg & back are in a lot of pain. I hate this. I miss Zumba and just being more active. Dancing is most definitely out of the question(if you can call what I used to do dancing LOL). I will try to do walking more...at least once every other day but I obviously can't do a lot at once. It's been a miserable night and the muscle relaxer I have is making me itch like crazy and not really helping the pain at all.

No big plans for the day. I have an after hours appointment on the phone for paperwork at the mental health clinic I go to. We may go to the thrift stores.

Foos has been pretty good lately. Weight is creeping down. I've been measuring most everything. The last few hold outs are things I should measure. I'm looking at you coffee creamer. I do count more than I think I do but as we all know our eyes are bigger than a measuring spoon.

I've really been enjoying some spinach tamales I got from the grocery store that were made by a company in southern Texas. They are just so tasty. It's 170 calories for two tamales. They have a black bean one too that is darn good. They are frozen and from the Texas Tamale company. You can order them online too. They are the best non homemade ones I've ever had.

QOTD: no, haven't since I was in a haunted house in high school

B: JUST egg bowl and coffee x2

L: gf sandwich bread with chicken lunch meat, Muenster cheese slice and tomatoes...a drizzle of raspberry balsamic vinegar

D: the last two tamales and maybe a baked tostada shell with a small salad on top

S: quest chips, gf waffle, 1 tsp of PB

Opal for your viewing pleasure.

Good job on the walking and weight. Those tamales sound delicious.

Good morning, everybody!

I'm pretty sure that if I don't get back with an answer to the re-introduce yourself question too, that I will wake up and Jm's life in mad lib form will be QOTD:. Unfortunately, today won't be the day - I have to go into the office this morning.

We had a great weekend. As was expected, the ladies beat the men soundly in the fishing contest. I actually caught the largest fish, but the contest was for number of fish, so they have the bragging rights.

Food highlights were the shrimp boil (shrimp, corn, potato, sausage and a side of cheddar bay biscuits), and fish tacos with the fresh red drum caught that morning. A certain amount of wine was consumed as well. Included in that total was bottle from Montepulciano where me and Lisa vacationed (not together.)

I didn't do much for exercise except dance, swim and walk on the beach, so getting back to Crossfit tonight is imperative.

QOTD: Most likely not. I have a Ghostbuster costume from pre-surgery that I used to wear to hand out candy but don't know how it would fit now. Maybe something last minute

Breakfast: Frittatta

Lunch: Salad

Dinner: TBD based on whether Marilyn gets to the store today.

Have a great day, all!
