I'm glad your house is mostly OK. I feel so terrible for the people there. It's just unfathomable.

Glad to hear you've come out relatively well. It was a scary storm on tv and I can't imagine how scary in person!

Hope you got your electric back, and your hot shower. Glad you made it home and that your house is still standing. The devastation is terrible.

I love pools and even love the smell of clorine. Hope your experience is great. Love the cats and dog photos.

Mornin' All!

I went to a hockey game last night and ate way too much popcorn. Back to the plan today! I'm meeting up with a friend this afternoon to go over to visit a mutual friend of ours who has pancreatic cancer. This is going to be awkward, but we need to go. I feel so bad for him. I can't imagine getting that kind of diagnosis. He and I were really good friends until I met DH almost 30 years ago. We've drifted apart since then, but we still get together about once a year (unfortunately - wi****'d been more often). I've lost so many people I was friends with as a child an/or a young adult. I know this will only happen more and more the older I get :-(

nothing else on the agenda today other than I may get out on my bike after visiting our friend. It'll be in the 60s and sunny, so it'll be a good afternoon for it.

QOTD: this is going to be a really busy week. I'm hosting two Zoom programs this week, going to another Zoom program (just as a regular participant) tomorrow, and then I'm going to an in-person program on Alzheimer's on Wednesday evening. There are also two movies on campus that I'd like to see this week, too. And of course keeping up with my classes and watching two films and reading two books for my film & book discussion groups. yikes. Although I like having a busy schedule.

B: protein oatmeal topped with plain Greek yogurt and fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: probably nothing since I haven't even eaten breakfast yet, and it's almost 10:00!

L: vegetarian chili

AS: protein muffin?

D: not sure yet. Probably some kind of sandwich since i need to use up a tomato (so in other words, a sandwich with tomato slices!). Some kind of vegetable, too.

have a great day, everyone!

Hope your meeting with your friend went okay. I'm sure it means a lot to them, especially given the cir****tances.
