Water is so soothing! Sun...not so much. I've loved camping next to rivers and such in the past!

And thank you. It's getting better. Just need more water.

It would be so dangerous to live an hour away from good seafood. Even if traffic on that road can be...slow! The weather would be such a great bonus.

I've totally been planning my menu.

Haven't tried the crab cake or clam cake...I've been a sucker for fried clams ever since I was little and we had them as a special treat (grew up super poor, mostly eating whatever was on sale with triple coupons at Price Chopper), so seafood was a luxury! I remember once every few years driving to a wharf and getting a bag of little clams to steam and eat with butter. Ah, memories!

Enjoy your beautiful weather. :) and maybe some good seafood.

The Price Chopper comment reminds me of the tv show The Middle. The were a lower class working family who grocery shopped at the Frugel Hoosier where the food was almost expired and cheap.

Haha, I haven't heard of the show but the premise was alive and well in my life. After we moved to Georgia, we shopped at a little place called Bell's in Covington. They offered everything that was dinged, dented, ripped, a week from expired, day old bread, and things that were missing labels (dinner surprise!). Oh, or discontinued stuff. We got to try a lot of weird flavors that didn't work out at major chains. It was a hothouse in experimental food!

Turns out the place still exists and was featured in a popular TV show for an episode or two. Doesn't look anything like the store I remember from over 25 years ago. :)

You do what you have to to get by. :) It makes me appreciate everything I have, though.

Good morning and yay friday!

Concert last night was incredible and I got a nice 4 hours of sleep so I'm ready to face the day; quite a few meetings for a friday and then I have my personal trainer so it will be busy. Catching up with a friend tomorrow, meeting at a great local bookstore and then going to lunch; Sunday I'm having the boyscouts blow out my sprinklers so have to be home until they come so nothing excited planned.

QOTD - I try to be helpful always and inspire of the fact that I have to climb the shelves to do it, I frequently get things down at the store for older people; I sent my sister flowers the other day because she was sad, a friend admired my purse so I ordered one just like it and sent it to her. Little things but they can make someone's day.

Menu today is

coffee plus half and half

left over gorgonzola dip

probably the sausage from my left over pasta dish that I had three bites of yesterday

definitely a friday glass of wine tonight!

I didn't have any good new pictures do mine are a dramatic sunset from during the fires in 2020 and one taken 4 years ago today in Korcula, Croatia.

Have a great weekend everyone!

The smoke in the air certainly does make dramatic and beautiful sunsets.

You are so kind. I could learn from your example to be more helpful.
