We dropped a small fortune on the Museum of Science, and honestly...it sucked. The content was for HS kids, but the design was for 4 year olds. I have no idea who this museum was for but it was a big disappointment. It might have been bad for awhile but the last times I was there I was counting 24 little heads and not paying attention to the content.

Oh that is disappointing! We have some really good exhibitions coming up at both our nature & science museum and our art museum so I'm looking forward to visiting both this month.

Good morning ~ Happy to hear your nephew is up and about! Enjoy the museum. Any word on the pathology/prognosis? I had a good food day yesterday but did have some wine last night after dinner. I want to make wine a treat and save it for the weekends only but I need to make that a priority. I wish I could just stop time and research all the things and listen to all the books, but life gets in the way! Baby steps. Feeling better though and that is a great thing. Today I have SO much to do. I am still playing catch up. Hopefully I get to a good place by the end of the week as I'm out all next week at another conference.
QOTD - I'm Amy! I'm the youngest of 6 kids. My dad was in the Marines until I was 10, so we moved around a lot. After he retired we moved to his hometown in Mass where we lived for 8 years until I graduated from high school. We then moved to CA where my mom grew up and have lived here ever since. I work for County Gov and I love my job. I have a 28 year old son and a husband I adore along with two pups and a kitty that have my heart. I've been overweight my whole life. I've lost and found more pounds than I can count over the years. I've never felt better in my life than when I was at my goal of 150. I am struggling with regain of 75 pounds, though I am only aiming to lose 50 at this point. I have kept off 85 pounds, but I feel heavier than ever. I struggle for energy. I love reading, music, movies, hiking, golf, cooking, shopping and relaxing. My focus is getting this weight off, regaining my enthusiasm for exercise and fitness and learning/doing all I can to maintain a healthy weight.

It's so hard to get restarted on exercise if you have to take a pause, especially if energy isn't where you'd want it to be. I feel you. Hope your energy returns soon, and that the October challenge is inspirational!

I am struggling with sober October more than I thought I would which tells me it was more important than I realized. I haven't caved (and I won't because I am competitive with myself) but, I'm pretty sure if I wasn't cold turkey, I would have given in by now.

I tried to go dry for 2 weeks before conference and fell off the wagon at the wedding. I only had 2 drinks because they were the signatures concocted by the bride and groom but couldn't resist. Hope you do better than I did.
