Good morning everyone! I'm checking in really fast while I wait for the host of my 5 am call to get it together, lol.

Busy early day today and then I have dinner and a concert tonight. This is an artist I was supposed to see in 2020 so excited to see her; earlier this year she launched what I think is a career making album so I suspect her next tour will not be small, intimate venues like this one. (Amanda Shires if anyone wants to check her out, she's amazing).

QOTD - I'm Jen, love to travel, read, attend live music, huge movie and pop culture fan. I moved all over as a kid, also have moved quite a bit as an adult for work. I love pilates, boxing, walking/hiking, have recently started doing a weight series through the boxing group; I mix up elliptical and rowing for my cardio although less so since IFit stopped sending magnets when you complete a challenge. I'm very competitive but only with myself. My profile name is because I loved the Pollyanna books as a kid and as a younger person made a deliberate change to live my life with a positive attitude (although the partly part allows for my sarcastic side to come out, lol). Although every day has it's challenges, I'm grateful that my program had a significant behavioral modification and education program because it gives me the tools I need every day, as long as I remember to use them!

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

pb English muffin

yogurt or built bar (Amy, they have a new flavor of bar and puffs -- Mud Pie)

small eggnog latte

steak salad and gorgonzola dip

I will hit the elliptical after work or at lunch for my exercise.

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

That only tastes like a Girl Scout cookie if you have not had a Girl Scout cookie in so long that you forgot what they taste like.

That is so true, if you are used to eating whatever then the low calorie "healthier" options dont taste as good. But when you are consistent with your diet, those items taste the bomb!

Glad your program had that component. I wish all of them did, instead of solving for the lowest common denominator, which is sometimes what it feels like. I had less than two months between consult and surgery and only a few phone dietician appointments required. They did mention it would be hard to get on board with eating habits and such with my short ramp time but all they really asked is if I was following the program as laid out in my flyers and manual.

Fortunately, I'm very motivated, didn't have much trouble making the needed changes, and also in therapy by my own volition. :) Use all the tools.

It feels like there has to be more flexibility than the absolutes, and "never evers" I hear from my appointments. Seems your program is a bit more robust and sets patients up bettee for long-term success.
