I am learning to make smaller portions as I meal plan (1/2 of a recipe as opposed to a whole recipe) as time goes by. I also freeze a lot of things, try to not buy as much. DD seems to be the only person, other than me, who will eat left overs.

Mornin' All!

well the article on me was posted on several of OH's social media sites, which means it's google-able (well, it would have been regardless since it's on OH's Web site). I'm pretty worried about this since I'm very private about my surgery - but we'll see. If you're also private about yours, I'd highly recommend NOT sending in your story for the before/after stuff. UGH. Should have thought about this before I did it. Or used a fake name.

it's supposed to be another nice day today, so I'll probably get out on my bike. I do have a lot of things to do, but nothing that's scheduled.

QOTD: probably. I know I have at least some. I often put things in my cart when I'm "price shopping" and find what looks like a good deal - but then I'll sometimes find an even better deal on it and put that in a cart, too. Ta da! Abandoned cart! (or several....)

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake (I'll make one of the ones from the conference - we all had samples of lots of stuff in the bags we got when we registered)

L: maybe a protein muffin?

AS: yogurt with raspberries

D: salmon and vegetables

have a great day, everyone!

I just emailed to ask if they could take my last name out and just use my first name on the article - although the horse may already be out of the barn. Cripes. Although giving people an option to just use their first name might be more reassuring to people who are thinking about doing this.

UPDATE: Tammy took it out - YAY! Evidently they don't normally put last names in the before/after articles - but mine was inadvertently put in because I was a panelist at the conference (my last name was in the conference materials - which was, of course, fine - I just don't want it in the before/after article!)

Yep, that's scary! Also why I didn't answer the latest pinned post. I get why they want to share amazing stories...but not everyone wants to be front page news. I also haven't told anyone at work what kind of surgery I had because yeah, private. :) appreciate the word of warning, and so glad they took your last name off!

Yup, that's why I never submit any stories to OH.

I am private about my surgery plus I am still working. Companies google employees all the time. I am glad that they did take your last name out.

It is funny. I am the opposite. Only my immediate family (DH, DD and DS) know about my RNY surgery because I dont want to be the subject of gossip or how I took the "easy" way out for weight loss. We all know that it is not easy, but the general population thinks this surgery is a "magic bullet" for weight loss. However, since I work with nurses who take care of bariatric patients, I am pretty open that I had RNY surgery.
