Morning Friends! Sounds like the Conference Gang is having a blast. I got some awesome pics texted to me last night :) I hope they all check in and post them!

I can't believe today is the last day of September!

We had a nice afternoon down at the coast. I finally have a pic that isn't a cookie, lol!

QOTD: Do you usually look at the menu before you go to a restaurant? In my first 4-ish years post-op I definitely did. I put everything into MFP as best I could and made sure I picked something that fit my macros. Gotta say I haven't done that in awhile (and it shows!).

I am going to try to do a bit of a carb detox this week. Nothing crazy but I'm going to make an effort to try to keep carbs down.

B: Egg Whites & onions & cheese

L: Veggie Burger with cheese

D: Shrimp Skewers

Exercise: Treadmill!

Good morning QJB and menuers,

Beautiful picture!

QOTD- Yep! Mostly because of the surgery right now but even before, I had never been a heavy meat-eater and often checked to see what my options were.

The retreat here is beautiful. Pictures below. I've been getting in a bit of walking, which is nice since the campus is pretty big. I'm up and about now. They don't have exercise facilities so I intend to go out as soon as I can see and paddle around in the pond to watch the sun come up. I miss being on the water. We have a half day today, so not very much since we don't start until 9. I skipped signing up for a 7am run today. I've never enjoyed running and my joints would kill me.

Spent over an hour last night doing karaoke things. I think it was my first time fully sober. Good times. It was that or family feud.

Accountability- three bites of baked beans yesterday and a tiny bit of the pecan crust on my chicken dinner. Scraped the rest off.

Today's menu

Pure Protein shake to get started

I have tuna and a chomp for snacks

Retreat breakfast and boxed lunch. My guess is the latter is some form of sandwich, chips, and cookie so I'll likely just have a protein snack on the way home depending on what's available. :)

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday. Pics from yesterday.

Love these pics! OMG I could never do karaoke sober, haha. But put a few drinks in me and I AM Gloria Gaynor.

I stopped the heavy drinking before karaoke was invented. I did a lot of great singing driving home in my car from things like bachelorette parties where we drank and drank and acted silly. I am lucky that I was never stopped driving home or never had an accident driving under the influence. Drinking was never a problem for me, just a way to have fun, but as I got older and realized the consequences I slowed way down. After RNY, half a glass of wine can get me feeling drunk and two would probably have me on the ground. If I drink more than one now, I do it at home. I guess that is why I never did karaoke as I was always the designated driver and only having soda by the time karaoke became a thing.

The consequences and not liking how it makes me feel is a lot of why I rarely drink. Afraid to find out what it would be like now.

Fortunately we ended up with a very supportive, good-natured crew. People were pressured into singing but got the crowd singalong if they weren't comfortable with it. The folks who were drinking were capped at two since it was a work event. I think people were frighteningly sober! Still a good time. :)

Thank you! It was good to meet some of these folks in person. And I'm so glad I went out to the lake in the dark. I got to watch the stars fade out, and the sun rise!

Quick re-post for me!

Heading out to our company charity golf tournament this morning then some meetings in the afternoon and drive by drop off of some stuff to a friend, at the end of the day, I have a massage waiting for me!

No big plans for the weekend, a lot of house stuff, getting a new phone, should be a nice change of pace after the last few weeks.

QOTD - every time - but I always did before WLS too!

Menu today

coffee plus half and half X 2

greek yogurt

barebells bare

Chicken green Chile casserole

I have a random protein bar in my bag in case I need it at the golf thing.

My photos are me making fun use of my color select feature on my camera, my return to my red and purple self and blue heron I spent some time watching last Sunday, really love the reflection on it.

Hope the OH conference group is having fun and can't wait to see pictures.

have a great weekend everyone!
