Morning all! Whoops, I didn't do any of that organizing that I planned on doing yesterday. I just couldn't motivate. No big deal. But it's not happening today, either--we are actually planning to head down the Cape today for what will probably be our last lobster roll of the season :)

I hope everyone has an awesome meet up this weekend! Have funnnnnn!

QOTD: Have you ever known anyone who was on a reality show? I knew someone on an early season of Survivor. But I tuned into an HGTV show last night (the one hosted by Jonathan Knight from NKOTB) and the homeowner was someone I went to high school with!

B: not sure - feeling a little yucky. might skip it.

L: lobstah roll!

D: chicken?

Good mornin JB! Hope you enjoy that lobster roll, would you believe I've never had lobster before? I know I'd like it as I love most seafood.

Yesterday was crazy busy. PT was rather odd. They put me in a mechanical traction harness contraption. It helped with my back for a few hours but my legs were sore to begin with...they also had me ride a bike like thing that really got my legs hurting more. We also had to do a grocery store run and Sam's run. It all resulted in severe leg cramps all night long. Hoping to get a nap in today.

My appointment went ok yesterday. They are going to try and set up a trial for a pain pump. Looking to be around late October or sometime in November. If it works I'll be looking at the end of the year for the implant. Lots of waiting and pain in the mean time.

No big plans for the day...all I HAVE to do is pick up prescriptions.

QOTD: no, not that I know of.

B: JUST egg bowl and coffee

L: hamburger stew

D: prob the same as lunch

S: ???

PS: I have zeroed in on the cake to make for my nephew. He is REALLY into this things called cats vs pickles. I am making him a pickle cake. Yup...a pickle. Hopefully it'll look something like this...

Thanks! We decided now to go with a cat from the stuff instead of the pickle. I just liked it better. It won't be rainbow like this one but the same basic shape with green accents and white frosting.

Good morning QJB and menuers!

You know...that organizing will still be there. I'd prioritize the lobster roll, too. In fact, since my road trip got pushed back, I called Bob's Clam Hut to see if they close seasonally or if I have something to look forward to. Turns out...I can still plan on some yummy seafood when I (hopefully) hit the coast next month. Last time I came through it somehow happened on the day they were closed due to staffing issues from covid. It doesn't bother me at all that I'm calling places in Maine a month out. :)

QOTD- don't think so.

Yesterday a coworker of mine was giving out hand-made chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks and just wouldn't take no for an answer. Then he gave me a mostly good-natured hard time about eating seaweed in front of him when I had chocolate available. So there it is, in my work bag. I'll have to find someone else to give it to so it doesn't go to waste. Don't want to go down that rabbit hole.

I'm prepping for exercise by drinking some water beforehand. Just need to pack up my cpap and toss everything in the car. Today I drive the couple hours for our full-ish team off site retreat. I found out yesterday that I won the lottery on room assignments and got a king suite with a fancy bathroom. I guess it will be a good place to catch up on some of the work I can't do because of networking events all day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful time at the conference and safe travels along the way.

Exercise - elliptical imminent. I also managed after work last night so this is twice in less than 12 hours.

Accountability- nothing to report

Menu

Protein/fiber/collagen

Kale and turkey slice

I'll pack a few shakes and protein-forward, shelf stable snacks but I'm at the mercy of retreat food through tomorrow. I love a challenge.

Cheers, everyone!

Yay Bob's is great! We live less than an hour from Kittery...

The clam is around the back where the picnic tables are under the tent :)
