Gracie is a great name. I had a Ruthie and an Ian in the past - I really liked those names, too.

Romeo is a great name. What about naming the other 2 after Shakespeare characters also?

Okay, I am the troll. I rarely do makeup, thankfully I have a good complexion. South Florida is so hot and humid it just runs down your sweaty face anyway.

QOTD. If it is just one or two things I am a get it and out person. Regular grocery shopping, it's every aisle. Unfortunately condiments, pickles etc are right across fro cookies and crackers, so blinders are on. Clothes shopping is a max of 3 Very small stores....

Hurricane is shifting south for landfall, bad news for us. It is still surreal to watch it unfold on TV and internet. I first learned how to plot Latitude and Longitude when 5 years old at the kitchen table with my Dad. In those days you listened to the radio to get the latest coordinates and plotted them on the nautical charts. Our map was full of old storm tracks.

Yes hurricanes have small tornadoes embedded in them. They twist trees like a cap on a bottle. I have had trees land on the roof from that in years past. Storm surge is likely to be a huge problem this time and that concerns me the most. I am 5 miles from the coast but it is flat and low elevation here. It's a big storm so the outer feeder bands are here, rain but no wind yet.

Those huge tornadoes, wild fires, earth quakes, blizzards and mud slides are a terrifying thought to me. Every region has its own natural disasters. At least hurricanes have some time to prepare. We are sheltering in place. I hope we don't lose power for a couple of weeks, that usually the case. I am on the grid with hospitals, sheriff and emergency services, so power comes back to me faster then rest of city.

Menu: Peanut butter toast, protein shake. Rest of the day, don't know. We will be hosting 2 couples and their dogs for the storm, so don't know about tonight. We have plenty of food in the house, so don't need to go out to eat.

I am looking forward to hearing about the conference and good times this Thursday!

Hopefully the hurricane changes its course or lessens in ferocity before reaching you. That is a fun ctivity to tack the storm progress on a map. Cute idea and great souvenir.
