Happy Birthday to Marilyn.

You sound like my DH when it comes to repairs. It seems that a simple 15 minute repair ends up taking hours and many trips to the hardware store.

One Saturday morning my husband decided to do repairs to a sink. He went to the hardware store and got the parts he needed. The clerk said, "Thanks, I'll see you later". A few hours later Joe went to get some part that he had not known he needed. Once again, the clerk said, "I'll see you later. Joe asked why and he said that the answer was that people who did do it yourself plumbing had to keep coming back for more parts. When Joe needed more parts he went to a different store so the clerk would not have the satisfaction of being right.

Good Morning! Those carbs can get us every time! I think I might have a recap meeting with my boss today as a follow up to our one last week. I'm exactly sure I'm hoping out of the conversation but I'll see how the "vibe" is and go from there. There isn't anything major going on. I requested the initial meeting since my 2 year anniversary is approaching and I wanted to touch base on the upcoming plans and just review the last year. I don't like these type of meetings generally and my boss likes things direct so it can be strange.

QOTD: History in general. I honestly just don't retain the information. In school, I would memorize what I needed for a test then promptly forget most of it. Sorry to any of my teachers who tried!

TSS: 8 years 1 month

B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, SF pudding and an apple

ES: Greek yogurt

E: Elliptical

V/W: On track

Thank you! I think we had a good dialogue. I was honest about some things on my mind and he was receptive. We still have some open ended items that we will have to circle back on in a week or two.

Mornin' All!

nothing much on the agenda today, or the rest of the week for that matter. Good thing because I have to read my book for the book discussion group next Monday morning, and watch my film for the film discussion group next Wednesday morning. Plus keep up on the readings and lectures for my three classes so I don't get too far behind (I'm actually way ahead on one of them - the history of the 1960s class - but I'm barely keeping up with the other two). I'll probably take a long bike ride later this morning, too.

QOTD: lots of things - but I guess history since most of the classes I take are history classes. I love the subject and there's so much more than you could ever possibly know.

B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: yogurt bark

L: salad (spring mix, seasoned tofu cubes, 1/2 peach, light dressing)

AS: protein shake

D: meatless taco protein topped with plain Greek yogurt, diced tomato, and salsa

have a great day, everyone!

A class on the religions of the world would also be interesting since many conflicts in history can be attributed to them.

QOTD- Tons of things that I can't think of now.

Directions on weighing a kitten, as in who knew that a kitchen scale would work for that. Find a small box, zero the scale and put the complaining kitten in the box and then you know how much it weighs. I only did one and it was heavy enough for the flea treatment so they all got treated last night. I found another vet that is really close and I have an appointment on 10/12 which is a lot sooner than my old vets office. I didn't want to wait that long, they will need to be fixed around that time.

I almost had a home for one of the kittens, but I'm good that they didn't want it. I really didn't want to separate them. I can't imagine one of them on their own.

I forgot how expensive a Costco run can be. I indulged in fresh caught halibut, and large shrimp, plus ****tail shrimp and other essentials that came in at over $500 yikes. I don't know what it is about their ****tail shrimp but I have never been able to get mine to taste as good.

Somehow I lost a day, I was thinking yesterday was Monday.

I need to get to work.

Have a great day everyone!

Never thought about that with a cat but it is how I would weigh my suitcase before I got a luggage strap scale.

we have a baby scale for cat weighing, but our human scale is much more accurate. I stand on the scale while holding the cat a couple of times, and then stand on the scale without holding the cat a couple of times - and subtract. Works like a charm!
