What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Morning (I think!?) I barely slept last night and finally threw in the towel at 2am and got up for my first cup of coffee. I wish I knew why my body does this every 3-4 nights, but I am no longer trying to fight it. More coffee for me!

Glad yesterday's meme resonated, lol. Reese's just "gets" me, haha. Today's meme also cracked me up because yesterday I was doing that thing when I start searching the house high and low for carbs I don't need... I found a box of crackers from literally god knows when (my best guess is Easter?), but thanks to no seal on the bag, they were trash. Carb crisis averted.

Yesterday was the first day that I really struggled with writing a paper since the semester started. It's not due until Thursday, so I have some time to figure it out but I was really fighting with myself all day, trying to make sense of what I was writing about. I worked on it with no appreciable breaks from 7am - 7pm. Thankfully, I live with an ex-professor who doesn't mind reading my papers and writing (WEAK) over entire paragraphs, lol. It's helpful to get another set of eyes.

QOTD: Would you do really dangerous/adventurous things like bungee jump or sky-dive if given the chance? Hard no for me. I just don't trust myself to make the right decisions in the moment to keep myself safe. I actually think I would love doing those types of things because I love a good adrenaline rush, but I guess I will stick to driving in Boston as my danger sport.

Food... sigh. It's going to be a long day, isn't it? I should plan for snacks otherwise I will be back in the cabinets pulling out crackers from another century, again. BTW, I settled on 2 light string cheeses after the carb-hunt-fail. Also, for some reason I forgot to eat dinner. Yesterday was just weird.

B: Protein Coffee

2nd B: Egg Whites, Feta & Diced Ham

S: String Cheese

L: Insides of Chicken Tacos - (Costco Chicken Skewers with Jalapeño Sauce, Guac, Shredded Cheese & Shredded Cabbage)

S: Air Fried Turkey Pepperoni

D: Cheeseburger (no bun)

Exercise: 4 days of rain rain rain here, so I will stick to a nice walk somewhere exotic on the iFit treadmill.

I'm up with you! On my first cup of coffee and I saw this meme on FB and had to share. It made me laugh a little to much!

my mom got called to go in for jury duty. I swear they must not have many people to serve in this county. She gets called all the time. I needed to ship some packages and now I will have to wait. I'm supposed to have two appointments tomorrow as well...hopefully she won't have to serve on a jury. Even if I drove I couldn't do anything about it as we only have one car.

the Ozempic isn't really helping with the weight loss at all. I've been at a standstill. BUT my fasting BS's are down almost 20 points at least. Of course I'm only one shot in and take my second tomorrow.

Soooo......my mom saw the pumpkins carved by squirrels thing and decided to try it. So far the eyes are slightly chewed on. It's interesting. She feeds the birds and squirrels and I must say I enjoy watching them. There is one squirrel who will take peanut out of our hands. She is a sweet baby.

QOTD: before my back issues yes I would've. Now, nope! It hurts when my mom presses the brakes in the car so I think the jerking around of most of those things would just about kill me.

B: Oatmeal...I may add fruit or probably maple flavoring and cinnamon or PP spice AND lots of coffee

L: I think if the lettuce is still acceptable a salad if not...I haven't got a clue

D: tilapia and some veggies

S: corn chips (ugh), maybe pistachios and a PP shake

Aww, poor tea! I'll happily continue to be one of the few consumers of tea here. Diversity is good, right? :)

Jury service in your county sounds tedious! Here it runs for four months but then they can't call you again for a year or two. There's also an opt out for anyone over 70. Guess your mom is just...Lucky?

Congrats on blood sugar improvements!

It's like Star Wars vs Star Trek around here with tea and coffee. Just like in my fandom, I enjoy both!!

Haha, coffee is good for getting digestion moving, so it has its uses! And Star Trek, TNG, all the way. :)

Can you look into Uber or Lyft for your dr appts? I know you have to wait between some of them so long.

The Ozempic is going to take some time and .25 is the lowest dose.
