My husband passed in 2009 and I hope I can always live alone. My male friend is also widowed and lives alone. Many older people live together to save money but we never want to do that.

I don't think I'd want to go through the time and hassle of learning to live with someone else again. Your arrangement sounds perfect!

Yum! Pumpkin Reeses Cups. Why do they taste better when they come in shapes like pumpkins or trees? Maybe more PB to chocolate ratio?

Saturday my kids performed at the fair. They had a pretty good turn out with people staying to watch their set. Little kids were dancing in front of the stage which was pretty cute. I then drove the girls (DD and friend) to the horse ranch for an overnighter. Yesterday, DH and DS drove the 180-mile trip (each way) to finally pickup DD's truck from the mechanic. They finally figuired out the problem with the gas tank and lack of power...Hope this is it. Although DH has plans for more aesthetic works and some headers for the engine to gain more horsepower. This "free" truck is no longer so free, but when looking at what trucks this year cost, we still are ahead of the game so to speak. Sunday, I spend making lunches for the week and other misc chores. I made the family a chocolate blackberry cheesecake to use up the overaundence of blackberries from our bushes. It actually turned into 2 cheesecakes, so I did one with a crust and one without. I took a little tast, tasted pretty dang good. Overall, a nice weekend.

Today, I will run a few errands. Head to Costco for a few items. Of course, my workout this evening. DD wants to go to an English tack store to look for riding britches and english style boots.

I have no****ched any of the queen's funeral.

QOTD: I must have a doppelgänger out there because I have been told I do but have yet to see them.

Accountability: Excellent

B: triple zero greek yogurt, keto granola, blueberries, cold brew with half n half

L: summer salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: asian chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 60 min inferno pilates

Have a glorious Monday.

You are making sure your kids have such a great life. They are so lucky to have you for a mom.

Good morning! Another cool morning in San Diego and I am dressed to get out it in it. I had a 100 % successful weekend on accountability and no adult beverages were consumed. We got brown dog out and around the block one each day. It's exhausting for him, but we have moved into muscle strengthen mode to prepare him to go off leash in a few weeks. Woo hoo.

Today I plan on going to DSW to replace out a pair or two of shoes I have worn out (that's just my excuse to go there) replace my favorite winter leggings and see what other trouble I can get into. I plan to arrive early, before they open and walk the exterior of the mall it's in. I should be able to get in a couple miles that way. Then back home for fresh cut and color. Also, I have all the parts and pieces of my "headdress" for the party here on the counter and plan on assembling it today. I think it's going to work!

QoTD: At a certain weight I have been not only believed to be, but down right accused of being (and hiding) Mare Winningham. A group on a cruise ship approached me for autographs and to buy me drinks (I said no), a lady in Italy made me show her my ID to prove I wasn't her...I have been asked at least a dozen times. I don't see it, but I guess if you were a big Pretty in Pink fan, your eyes have aged enough to convince your mind that I'm a movie star. I saw she recently married Anthony Edwards and I love him, so I guess I approve. LOL.

Menu:

B: cottage cheese and pulled pork

L: need to eat my leftover half of honey crisp shrimp from PF Changs and couple bites of rice

D: leftover pulled pork, a ounce of cheddar cheese heated and melted together with a tomato on the side. Roger gets a whole sandwich. Lucky boy.

Peace Everybody!

When Marilyn told me it was on, I was trying to think of how to contact you. Figured since you usually watch a few days after that you would be Okay. It looks like the solution allows Clay to appear sporadically while focusing on his new show.
