^^just sayin'^^

Happy Fri-YAY! Although it's my Monday, so I am not sure why I am excited. But I am delivering cookie to an old coworker today and we are going to have lunch together so that should be fun! I also have more baking to do - orders keep coming in which is awesome... but I'm so busy! Speaking of which, here are my pics for the week. You guys are getting a major sneak peek, I prepped the pics but won't be posting for another week. First up are Witch Finger Fries! Then the baby cookies that I am delivering to my old coworker tomorrow.

QOTD: What Hogwarts House would you be sorted into? ((Ok, let's just pretend for a minute that JK Rowling is not very problematic right now...)) Anyway, I still love the books and I am pretty sure I'd be a Ravenclaw :)

Fooooood! I woke up hungry which is not a good omen for the day...

B: Fit Frappe Mocha and TJ's Eggwich

L: Not sure - lunch out!

D: I'll be honest and say I will plan for something low cal but if Grim offers me a cheeseburger, I will probably take it!

Happy Fri-Yay, all!

Cute cookies QJB.

Well, apparently I misspoke yesterday.

Marilyn didn't get an email from Ford, so she called the dealer. They gave her the VIN number and she went to the Ford website to look up the status of her Bronco. At which point, she discovered that they were building her a 2 door vehicle.

After quite a few tears and calls, she went down to the dealer, and what she learned is that for reasons unknown, when her 2021 order was rolled over to 2022, somebody at the dealership switched it from a 4 door vehicle to a 2 door vehicle.

The dealer admits, and I'm sure that Kelly can confirm, that switching a customer's order without having them initial the purchase order violates just about every internal control process that they have.

Marilyn is understandably upset, because she has been eagerly waiting 13 months to get a vehicle built just the way she chose. Also, she feels like she already has a two door vehicle for bombing around in and needs a daily driver. I am sure that a little of this is related to empty nest, because she really doesn't need a four door if its just the two of us. And I am most likely going to get a truck in the future.

They offered her an Outer Banks that they had in stock for MSRP. She went to see it but it was soft top, didn't have a tow package, didn't have marine leather, didn't have the removable plugs for washing that she wanted. So she isn't going to do that.

At this point her choices are: (1) take the 2 door and live with it, (2) take the 2 door and immediately order a 4 door - trade it in when the 4 door comes, (3) just walk away and get a different kind of car.

Option 2 isn't as bad as it seems because the resale on the Bronco's is very high at this point in time. Paying sales tax twice isn't going to be ideal. Also, we are generally 10+ year car owners, so trading it in after a year seems weird.

What she has resolved to do is just wait until the 2 door arrives and check it out before deciding.

I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep

Today is the Heart Walk, so I am going into the city for that. Going in early and missing traffic isn't the worst thing in the world. We are going to RH Rooftop with one of my reports and his wife to celebrate his promotion.

The rest of the weekend is pretty low key - Crossfit and probably go fishing. After this week, I am traveling six out of the next seven weekends and then have back to back work trips the succeeding two weeks. So basically crazy until Thanksgiving.

I will post an Eric Clapton picture from my phone.

QOTD: There is a meme that the big accounting firms are like the Hogwarts Houses, so we bought DD a Pendleton blanket from our Firm's Meme house. Much to my surprise she said that she already had been sorted and ended up in Slytherin. So we had to return the blanket.

Breakfast: Fritatta

Lunch: Roast Beef

Dinner: Champagne and Yumminess, no doubt.

Have a great day, all!

Poor Marilyn, that sounds so frustrating and yes something went way wrong but in the end I hope they take of her.

Oh the wrath of Ford. This is a song I know to well. I hope they get it straightened out. From experience they are not quick with anything.

Ok, so I am frustrated for Marilyn. We are a two person household for many years now and I am a firm NO on a two door. Especially if you want to keep it for about 10 years. Getting around having friends occasionally slide in the back is one thing, getting grandbabies in is a whole different ball game. And -- I'm with Sheila, I saw the red yesterday and man, that is a nice looking vehicle!

I'm going to share the grandkids point with her. I don't want to tell her what to do but I am thinking reorder (which isn't even open now) is the way to go.

I love chili pepper red and eruption green.

I would demand that they correct the order since they changed it without your permission. They need to make it right. She should not have to wait because of their mistake. I would want the 4 door option as it is more versatile.

I had a two-door Honda back when I was single. When it was just me, or me plus one passenger, it was fine. But in the 10+ years I had it, there were more times than I'd ever anticipated that I was carting more than one other person around with me. It was kind of a pain for people to climb in and out of the back seat. I vowed all my future cars would be four door.

I would be livid.
The same way they changed it from 4 door to 2 door, can't they change it back to 4 doors? I understand there is a long waiting list but it should be on the dealership to fix this.

I would have cried too!!!! OMG poor Marilyn! I would want a 4 door also, but the 2 door looks more like the old style and are pretty cool too. I don't care for the sport ones.
