I am happy to hear your nephew is doing great. Hopefully he will remain on the mend. Not a great time for a family reunion but it seems that it is bad news (funerals, illnesses, etc) that bring family together, enjoy your family.

I am not working out tonight since I have a massage this evening. DD says she needs some shirts to wear. Ironically, I asked her before school started if she needed any new clothes and got a big nope. After the 2nd day of school, she was then saying she didnt have any shirts to wear. Anyway, I will take her to find the white elephant (she is so hard to buy for because its either too short like tummy baring length or too baggy) after work today.

QOTD: Dragnet is definitely not timeless, but their delivery is funny. I still laugh at Seinfeld, although some of the technology in the show is dated but the dialogue and situations are so funny.

QJB - thinking of your nephew and hoping for the best. At least you got to see the rest of the family.

Looking forward to this weekend. I'll have the house to myself because DH is leaving on Fri for a class reunion. I can't remember if I shared this with you guys; this group of guys were the nerds, dungeons and dragons players, and un-populars at their school. Didn't go to prom or any of their school events. I think they went to their 10th class reunion and decided they didn't wanna deal with that crowd, so they organized their own class reunion. There are 20-25 of them, now living all over the country, and get together in Tahoe once a year. The last two years obv they cancelled, but DH is excited to see everybody this year. There will be a lot of poker, casino gambling and male bonding. I have met few of them and they all seem such nice men, why is it that during school years nice men are labeled nerds and lame?

QOTD: I liked detective shows like Colombo, Magnum PI, CHiPs (funny story, the first time traveling to US when I saw a cop on motorcycle on the highway I was so excited and felt I was FINALLY in US). If I happen to stumble upon an episode I'll watch it again just for the aaaaw factor. But nowadays most of my tv watching is streaming so I would hardly stumble upon one of those.

My meals yesterday :

That is a great way to do a class reunion. See the people you are interested in seeing and forget the rest. My BIL has started the same thing several years ago with his group of friends. However, he is a social butterfly so still goes to the big class reunion. I have abstained from all of my high school reunions. Probably mostly because of my weight. I would be more willing to go now but not sure there are many people I want to see.

One time I was in California I had an early flight out on Christmas morning. Mom wouldn't let me miss Christmas dinner. Bestie was driving me to the airport we were talking and not really paying attention to speed and no one was on the road. Chips came up to us and motioned us to slow down. He looked exactly like Eric Estrada. I thought is was so awesome. I talked about it for years.
