Good morning ~ Glad to hear your nephew is doing better, hang in there. Today I have interviews until 1:30 then a meeting all afternoon. I'm hoping it flies by and distracts me from this headache and jaw pain. I'm starting to think it's one of my teeth that is the culprit but I was just at the dentist last week and everything was fine. Ugh. There is a potluck today that I'm on the fence about since the talk on here the other day! I forgot to make my dish on top of that, so I will grab something at the store on the way in to work.
I finished Local Woman Missing - It was good. I'm starting - I'm Glad My Mother Died today. Paris Apartment should be available any day now. I'm saving Fairy Tail for my drive to Sacramento next week. I'm all set!
Forgot QOTD - a mix of bus and wal****il high school. We had a neighbors we carpooled with until I got my car senior year.
Accountability - I had a few of Rob's fries - not bad
b- coffee, HB eggs
L - potluck Nacho/salad bar
d-chicken breast, salad
Have a great day!

My nephew has been raving about I'm glad my mother died. He thinks it's mandatory reading for anyone with complicated mother/child relationships.

Good morning, everybody!
Today is the half way point for me. Four years and 16 days since surgery and four years and 16 days until Retirement.
Whether I make it all the way to planned retirement probably depends a lot on how bad the upcoming recession will be. For a lot of reasons that I won't go into, September 2023 is really the last chance to force retire me.
When I had surgery, one of the consequences that I was hoping for was a refreshed energy for work. I have definitely had a refreshed energy, but not for work.
However it turns out, I will be OK.
Today is my normal Wednesday schedule: lifting in the morning, Happy Hour in the evening. Hopefully everyone can make it this week, because we will be away for the next couple.
Marilyn made me a big plate of blackened chicken and asparagus, so I will be eating that for awhile.
QOTD: Always walked except 4-6 grade. When we were in junior high school, we thought that only nerds used backpacks, so we walked 1/12 miles carrying out textbooks and notebooks against our hips. Boy were we cool. Dorks.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Chicken and asparagus
Dinner: Shark coochie like those basic girls
Have a great day all!

DH's plan was to retire on his 58th bday (this Dec) but with recession and stock prices he is thinking about extending it for another couple of years. He is not happy about it and grumbling but we shall see.

From yesterday's post, 58 doesn't sound guaranteed for him.
