Mel, please don't take something somebody says in a moment of stress or anger as the truth. Best course of action is when everybody is calm to ask your mom if she really meant it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Normally I would let it go easier. Later in the day we went to do something and she reiterated what she had said on the phone. She said "I'm sorry if hearing that hurt your feelings but it's still true what I said."

she has apologized to my brother and what not...told him she just loved them and wanted what was best for him and his family. Not once has she mentioned anything to me other than she needs to apologize to them.

MIND you I was the one who did the nitty gritty work of my grandparents care. I would do it all again but I thought it was at least appreciated somewhat by her. I can tell you one thing the only one of her kids that'd do the stuff I did for her parents is me. It just hurt...made me feel...like usual that I'm not ever going to be good enough for her. I think I remind her to much of my father or something along those lines. No matter what it is it isn't right. When I could mow I never did it the Right way. Now I don't vacuum good enough or whatever. Like I said it's a lot of different things that culminated yesterday and I am Currently feeling a bit more even.

They finally approved the Ozempic and PT was approved though their pool is broke or something so it won't be aquatic.

thanks again everyone!

As a 74 year old mom I have some insight that might help.

We expect our kids to grow up, leave home and bring the well behaved grands for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I saw child raising as an 18 year job. Your mom is long past that and still has an adult living with her and your brother bringing his kids for care.

She is acting like this because she is ready for a life with only herself to think about. It is time for everyone to make changes. There are government sponsored housing programs with homes that are comfortable and well maintained. They are pet friendly and rent is based on income.

You could each have your own place. Your brother can find his own childcare. You might get a great offer for your home. You could concentrate on new friends and new activities. With the family drama gone everyone will enjoy life and each other again.

Good morning Jen and menuers,

Whew, those are some early meetings! The last time I had 5:30 meetings were to touch base with some folks in India. Good luck dodging the camera today.

QOTD - Yep! I like it but don't really eat it since the one thing I really do try to cut out of my diet is sugar. I don't crave it normally but when I eat it, I want more. It can be a slippery slope. Sorry pie, it's not you...it's me. Kind of.

Today I learned that it's not a good idea to mix collagen peptides in my bullet blender. Took a while for the froth to settle. Chalk it up to a learning experience. I can tell it will be an acquired taste based on how my stomach reacted.

I made it to the office today. Most of today will be continuing to play square-peg-round-hole in getting the budget for next year to come in. That and translating all the strategy stuff to a new template, of course. Between that, emails, and office distractions, it will be a busy day.

Exercise - More elliptical! Done for today.

Menu

Collagen

Parmesan and veggie sausage egg bites

Greek yogurt

Chicken, broccoli and cheese bake

Seaweed

Albacore tuna with a bit of yogurt

Cheers everyone!

Muahaha! Don't we all wish that? :) it feels slightly more organized than the chaos last year but we're coming into it late. I'm on vacation a few days and even cut it short just to get this across the line. Ah, planning season! I'm hoping to make up for it with a nice road trip next month.

Good morning menu crew. I had hoped to get back on the treadmill last night, but the peaches I got on Friday had other plans. I had noticed a few with soft spots so I sorted them out and any that were starting to turn got peeled, pitted, and sliced up so I could freeze them. The rest were put in the fridge so I can do them later this week.

QOTD: I prefer squash pie over pumpkin even though the are similar the squash has a better taste to me.

5am: Coffee with raw milk

B: squash and eggs with cheese and ham

L: ham and cheese stuffed cubanelle peppers

D: pork loin with brussel sprouts

S: beef jerky with siracha

Maybe get on the treadmill tonight. :)

Have a wonderful day everyone.
