It's not that hard. It's just two paper towel rolls, a headband, and paper plates. Says the woman who has delegated the construction of said head piece to the husband.

Good morning menuers!

I hope your nephew is all right and that you hear some good news today.

Like you, I slept in since today is the only day this week I don't have to leave the house by 6am.

QOTD- Pre-surgery it was a small bowl of Bob's Red Mill Scottish oatmeal with a couple tablespoons of ground flax seed and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Maybe with a few raisins or blueberries. Yum. Nowadays it's generally yogurt for being super quick or the protein shake for the same reason since I can sip it on the way to work.

Yesterday was an old friend's birthday. I've known him since I was a sophomore in high school. He called late (for me) last night and we spent over an hour catching up. It's good to keep in touch and I'm glad he's doing well.

I'm so excited! It's 50 degrees right now! Unfortunately, it will be back up in the mid 90s here in a couple of days, so I'll play outside while I can. I got almost all of my planned prep done this weekend. I want to get a bit more heavy cleaning done before I leave. Anyway.

Exercise - Elliptical- done

Menu

Planted protein shake plus fiber

Yogurt

Chicken, broccoli and cheese bake

Cottage cheese or shrimp. Depends how I feel

Cheers!

That's scary, I hope your nephew is on the mend and that you are able to see him soon.

My weekend was great - cold rainy Saturday at a football game, got both my flu and bivalent covid booster, and enjoyed some reading time; yesterday ended the weekend with what I think is my last outdoor concert of the season (and how much do a I love a venue that has an 8PM Sunday curfew, lol). It was glorious and sets me up for a busy busy week!

QOTD - I don't think I have a usual, I do like to have a little heartier breakfast than lunch though.

Menu today is

ever roast chicken, slice cheddar and a pickle

greek yogurt with blackberries

street tacos

Have a wonderful monday everyone!

Good mornin JB, praying for your nephew and your family!

my weekend was...well ok. Went for a nice 15 minute walk Sunday that I paid dearly for. But I'm going to do it again today.

we're not sure if we have the kids today because neither my brother or SIL gave us the courtesy to call. I'm tired of their ****! Other than that not sure what we'll do today.

QOTD: JUST egg bowl I fix in the microwave. I'm bored with it as well!

B: JUST egg with bacon, sweet potato, cheese and onion. + half a cup of Honey Nut Cheerios

L: 2 ozs meatloaf and a medium sized salad with 2 tbs dressing...maybe just 1 tbs...depends. 1/2 oz blue cheese

D: not 100% sure yet on this one

S: GF waffle, PP shake, nuts of some kind and tortilla chips

I use very little salad dressing but sprinkle salad with white basalmic vinegar for extra flavor with less calories
