I saw it in a magazine article and asked my endocrinologist, and she confirmed that it was. Not sure how much younger it will make me.

Good morning QJB and menuers!

So glad to hear that today is a better day, JB. It's amazing sometimes the difference a day can make. Congratulations on closing out your first week back, too. Glad it's going well and that there are no regrets.

QOTD- That's a big nope for me. I got to spend a tiny bit of time with Neil Patrick Harris and his husband and kids once, though. For him, I was nothing more than an anonymous face but I loved him in Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog.

I decided to rebel today since Monday was a holiday. I'm not going to the office! It's a quiet meeting day and I have so much to get done. We're all having a budget planning meeting for next year tomorrow and I want to be prepared. Also strategy planning. So I may have gotten up at 3:30, caught up on work email, updated my calendar, and gone back to sleep. Sometimes those late morning sleep hours feel more restorative than others.

It's also an exercise rest day. On an interesting note there, I've been tempted to hop on the elliptical on rest days, and think I might just do that if I'm feeling it. A half hour or so of cardio isn't as muscle intensive as lifting, so I'm not worried about overdoing it. I also feel better when I move more.

Today's menu

Breakfast - spinach and turkey slice with hot sauce

Snack - Planted protein with fiber

Lunch and more - last of the spicy beef and broccoli stir fry

Dinner - spinach and turkey slice (so many leftovers)

Cheers!

No days off won't kill anyone. At one time I was a big No day off person. Well up till last Thanksgiving but I am going to fight my way back.

It is a bummer your are/shoulder injury threw your workouts off track. It is so hard to get back on track once you are off.

I'm so glad your feeling better; remember my 30 day paradigm when you have a big change -- the first 30 is pretty much chaos because it's new and also you don't know much; the second 30 is pretty much chaos because you suddenly realize how much the change is and how much you don't know and in the last 30 you start settling into your new normal and can go through pretty well. Depending on the change the cycle can be longer but the triple concept seems to be consistent in my experience!

QOTD - that podcast escapade was so much fun!! I follow a lot of authors and scientists on Twitter and get regular replies so that's always neat!

Today is a busy day, full day of meetings starting at 630, plus I have physical therapy which I'm close to wrapping up, and a few things to get done after work too. I already checked off my elliptical session so yay me!

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

English muffin with either an egg or pb

barebells bar - they have a new raspberry creme flavor, it's not my favorite but it's good enough I will eat them all

jalapeno sausage link

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

I heard that process described as forming/norming/storming. It described new groups coming together to work for a common goal. But pretty similar.
