Trial and error - just keep nuking until it looks to your liking a couple minutes even. I like the sauce thick and the edges crispy and dark. Now I want some!

hi all

I also could not sleep the past 2 nights. i had to take a protonix for my acid to calm down. its like everything i eat irritates me.

Its likely stress related for me and a little food related. the docs make you go on liquids and that to me isn't helpful other than making me cranky.

QOTD: Mary higgens clark, janet evonovich,

food today:

i'm going to focus more on liquids with some cooked veggies, some meats- I made a stir fry veggie with spam last night so probably have leftovers at some point.

Oh hey, throwback. I read a bunch of Janet Evonovich's stuff ages ago. One For the Money, etc. Ah, memories.

Mornin' All!

I just registered for two classes at the Madison campus - and I registered for one at the Milwaukee campus yesterday (online, of course - not driving an hour to take a class!). Oddly, I was assessed a $50 late registration fee by the Milwaukee campus, but I was only formally admitted as a student yesterday - and registered for a class right away (within minutes of receiving my final acceptance letter). And auditors aren't supposed to register until the first day of class ANYWAY, so....??? I wrote to the admissions office to see what was up with that. If I have to pay the $50, then that's fine - it's not a lot of money, but still...this seems a little weird. Maybe they'll waive it. Or maybe I could pick up a second class there since I already have to pay some stupid late fee - although 12 credits is A LOT, even when auditing (6 at Madison and 6 at Milwaukee).

I have to deal with some financial stuff today that I've been putting off. Our Roth IRAs are at Vanguard, and they're going to start assessing some hefty fee unless we switch them over to a brokerage account (now they're just in a plain, traditional mutual fund account). I have no desire to do any brokerage-related things, like buy and sell stocks or ETFs, but I guess if they just let us sit there in our brokerage accounts with the same mutual funds that we have now, then it'll be OK. I have to do this by Sept 20th or we'll start paying the stupid fees. Ugh.

not much on the agenda today other than the aforementioned, but I'll get out and do a long bike ride sometime today. Weather is great, and I'm feeling bloated, so...biking.

QOTD: I'm not much of a fiction reader, so nothing is coming to mind. I've probably never read any of one author's complete works...

QJB: my husband is the same way with structure - and/or a change in structure. He left a job once due to a toxic environment that he couldn't take anymore. He left at the end of spring semester, thinking he'd easily have something lined up by the time fall semester started. Nope - took 18 months. He didn't work for about a month but it was driving him insane, so then he pieced together a couple of part-time jobs at area public libraries - better, but still, he really struggled with not working full-time. He needs the structure. Hopefully you'll adapt better than he did (he's been talking about retiring in two years - not sure how he's going to handle it given his past, but - we'll see...)

B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with fruit

AS: scone

D: ?? maybe Indian bean curry (I still have the ingredients for that salad I've been eating, but I'm in the mood for something different today...)

have a great day, everyone!

I also like some structure with some things. At work, I determine the structure of my day. I do like that autonomy. However, with my MSN program I liked having due dates for assignments... If I am planning an event or vacation, I also like some planning with some flexibility.

Good morning ~ Love your relief edit! Glad you are in a good place - you will find your groove girl. Yesterdays meeting went well - stunned being the overall reaction. With the turnover the past few years, I didn't realize I had become the only one who knew what I did - all the things... I feel like I will be doing both jobs for a very long time. As long as there is an end, I'm good. Some staff were worried about me like I was sad to move but the truth is I am SO excited! Today is picking up the pieces type day since I was unable to get anything done yesterday. I have a dentist appt this afternoon. In the meantime - I'm just sweating, waiting for this heat and humidity to end....

QOTD - Jane Austin, Bronte Sisters are probably the only complete works I have read. I jump around a lot now, I want to read all the things!! I went YEARS without reading while my son was growing up and feel I missed so much. Many I would love to tackle the complete works. I have a lots of classics on my list to finish - Dickens is one, Dumas... but Steven King is up there.

Accountability - Our house is an oven - I'm sure of it now. Homemade turkey tacos turned into Door Dash deep fried tacos from our favorite Mexican place.

B- coffee, yogurt and granola

l - tuna salad on lettuce

d-?

e - I'm melting

Have a great day!!

Does your heatwave have an end in sight? Our temps went from 95+ down to 65 in a week and now its chilly and rainy. What happened to 78 - 82? That's a temperature, right?? Lol. So unfair.
