What's on your Tuesday Menu?
on 9/6/22 2:40 am
Morning all! Woof, I am tired today. I think that staying up until midnight for 3 days in a row, finally caught up with me. I would love a little napparonni today :)
So far my MBA is going well. It's interesting, and I think I am getting the hang of how the professors want discussion posts to look. But I realized yesterday that I missed a deadline in my first weekend, which I am annoyed with myself about. Whoops! I feel mostly caught up with assignments, so I should have time to do some epic cookie decorating, which is good because I have a ton of orders coming up :)
QOTD: Hit us with a favorite "life-hack" (things that most people don't know or do, but made your life easier/better)! I am currently drinking coffee, so let's start there. When I have leftover coffee, I use it to make ice cubes. Adding iced coffee cubes makes it better because when they melt, it doesn't ge****ered down :)
Accountability: Weird day yesterday. I forgot to have breakfast. For lunch I ended up having a Greenridge beef stick. And we ended up going out to dinner for Grim's daughter's birthday! So... not one thing that I planned, happened.
B: Fit Frappe Mocha in hot coffee & Greenridge Beef Stick
L: Leftover Fish from dinner last night
D: Costco Chicken Skewers
Exercise: not sure but something inside because it's a rainy rainy day!

Good morning!
I was wondering if you were able to get everything done with your MBA. Then you said "discussion posts" and I had a traumatic response remembering my own online college days. Good luck with those!
QOTD- don't know that I consider life hacks but boy, do I use vinegar a lot. Plain white vinegar, by the gallon. Spray down my glass topped stove without using chemicals. De-funk the washing machine. Cut through the hard water build up on the shower head. Scrub the concrete porch of stains.
Weighed in this morning and hit another little milestone for me. My BMI comes in at under 35. I'm now just "obese". Started out at 43.5. It's been gratifying watching it come down over the months. Woo! I'm boosting my personal protein goal to 90g per day to start buffering against the bare minimum.
I made a high protein spinach/turkey/cottage cheese/cheese/egg bake yesterday. It worked out well for something different that includes a ton of protein, plus vegetables!
About to hop on the elliptical after posting, so exercise will be taken care of. I feel...heavy...today, if that makes sense. Hard to get going.
Today's menu
Post exercise planted protein shake
Nonfat Greek yogurt and roasted seaweed
Slice of the spinach/turkey and all bake
Light string cheese
Cajun baked tilapia with parmesan and steamed carrots
Have an excellent day, everyone!

Congrats on hitting the BMI milestone! It is so very gratifying to watch those numbers decrease, see medications "disappear" from your daily must take list, etc. Keep up the excellent work.

hi all
weekend pretty much went well. saturday we drove for lots of errands, grocery pickup. Sunday i stayed at the house, listed things, took a nap on sunday. Worked yesterday so I could take off that day for my vacation. I bought the blue cheese steak home chef kit that had risotto for DH. I'm sure I 'overcooked' it but he liked it. I paired mine with heart of palm mash potato and the mushrooms it came with. it was somewhat like shephards pie but with sliced steak? anyway more to have today since it made several servings
QOTD: I'm not sure anything is a life hack I can think of. making your own cold brew on the cruise ship if their coffee sucks? taking your single serve creamers on with you.
that is a good idea on the ice cubes. that wouls actually mean i have space in freezer for said ice cube trays
food today:
b: coffee coffee water
last of chicken salad
l: leftover dinner
d: spam with shiritaki noodles and stir fry veggies

Hey! I see you have shirataki noodles on your menu. I've got some in my fridge to try out when I move back to regular foods next month. I've read several warnings and some feedback online about cooking methods and their taste overall.
I'm curious. What do you think of them? Just a low - carb noodle substitute or something you enjoy at all?
