Mornin Mornin all! Secret revealed! Jen, Emily and I (& Grim!) had had an awesome weekend up in Maine!
Jen had been to 49 states and all 7 continents and never been to Maine! And I remembered that Emily has also been to 40+ countries and 40+ states, but had never been to ME, either, so we made it happen! It was a fantastic weekend full of tons of laughter, shopping, boats, lobster, walks along the shore, and too much wine :) These are two beautiful women and I feel so lucky to have them in my life! OH is the gift that keeps on giving.
QOTD: I've already answered for Jen, because I know she has a busy day and probably won't post! How many US states have you been in?
I haven't done a specific count, but I have seen the entire east coast to pro bottom, as far west as Chicago, and then I have been to the entire West coast, and I little of the Southwest. I am just missing most of the middle!
I need a detox day from all of the wine fried seafood. I think I will just keep it super simple.
B: Fit Frappe Mocha in hot coffee & 2 egg whites
L: Veggie burger & tzatziki sauce

Good morning!
Sounds like you had an amazing weekend! Good to hear. Maine is an amazing state, and bonus points for coastal Maine and amazing seafood. Glad you got the time with good friends. :)
QOTD- all of them. Hawaii was my last in early 2020.
Productive weekend here and appreciating all the rain. I exercised both days, even turning up the resistance a notch yesterday. I've made 10/10 of my planned exercise days, which makes me happy since I haven't felt the best on a couple of them. The two on, one off schedule seems to be working. I plugged my laptop in on top of my small bookcase so I can watch movies rather than trying to read. It helps.
I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time researching recipes for new and tasty foods, even when I can only eat a small amount. I'm getting better at halfing them and being okay with discarding something I can't eat.
I got a good bit done this weekend. Cleaned out the car some. Took back two bushes and brought three more home. The math doesn't add up, I know, but I rescued them off the clearance rack, so that doesn't count, right? There's always plenty and more to get done around here, so continuing to prioritize. Work today in a couple of hours.
Today's menu
Breakfast- nonfat Greek yogurt
Snack - planted protein shake plus fiber
Lunch - marinated beef stir fry (3 3/4 ounces) and broccoli. This will be lunch and second lunch. Too much for one meal
Snack - seaweed and a pepperoni and cheese roll up
Dinner - low fat cottage cheese
Happy holiday, everyone!

Oh, congratulations! It's a long, straight drive across bit did you happen to make it to Theodore Roosevelt National Park? Beautiful drive and views to both parts!

Yes, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is where we went. We did some hiking and saw the Buffaloes.

hi all
i did opt to work today so i can have that day during my vacation.
QOTD: I don't have a count, but I've only been to NY in the upper east, then it drops to DC/maryland.virginia area which I've been. I've only been to CA/NV/ out west (and I'm not counting AZ in this since we just went to hoover dam). Never been to WA/Oregon and that is pretty high on my list to go.
food today will be the chicken salad i made yesterday (3 servings total)
b: coffee coffee
b: chicken sausage
l: chicken salad
d: steak home chef meal
Mornin' All!
Maine is actually the ONLY state east of the Mississippi that I haven't been to, and it's been on my list for a long time! I'd also like to go up to Nova Scotia, etc, while I'm there! Maybe sometime this year....
we're going to a Swedish fika later this morning that a neighbor whom I've never met his hosting (I only know him through our neighborhood Facebook group). He has a couple of visitors from Sweden this week. He's got some other events planned for them, but the fika was the only thing that interested me (I think the others were some kind of athletic event, and something else). Other than that, no plans - although I'll get out on my bike if the weather cooperates. I've been eating too much lately and need to reign that in and make sure I'm getting a lot of exercise to boot. Contemplating (again!) joining WW. I only had limited success with them pre-surgery, but maybe I'll do better this time (????). Something's gotta give here...
QOTD: I'm too lazy to count, but as I said above, the only state east of the Mississippi I HAVEN'T been to is Maine. West of the Mississippi I've never been to South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Hawaii, or Alaska. So all together, I've been to 42 states (there! I counted them!!)
B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: more coffee at the fika. I know fikas usually include a pastry, most often a cinnamon bun. I'll try hard to resist - or maybe just split one with DH.
L: salad (power greens, chicken breast, diced peach, light dressing)
AS: protein muffin or else a light yogurt with a skinny bagel
D: I think I might have one of those Loma Linda protein bowls. Lots of fiber and not many calories (260 in a pack - and I can usually only eat 1/2 a pack because the Southwest version that I have on hand is full of beans and fake meat - very filling)
have a great day, everyone!
