Oh my gosh. I'm 100% a phone poster. I agree that it can be annoying, leading to silly auto correct errors and just some mistakes while typing/proofing but I would rather be on my phone than not here at all!

Happy Friday! Getting ready to hit the road. Just need Rog to hurry up and be ready so I can blow out my hair while he loads the coolers and the little suitcase. Funny that I take way more food to Dad's than clothes. But I really do not like his supermarkets and this makes me feel in control. Which everyone knows I love. I am being a bit brave and a bit silly at the same time having a cup of coffee right now. It's about 2 hours until the first decent potty stop and my little bladder will not be amused by the time we make it there.

QoTD: June, 1980. I have no post high school education and in my career was considered part of the "tribal knowledge" people. Those of us who learned by having our feet to the fire and figuring it out. It's part of the reason I highjacked my son in law to come work with us. I could no longer keep up with the younger, way more educated customers requests when they required reports and spread sheets and presentations. I just sat there and could sell like a boss. No one could outsell me at work. But, with huge increases in business came required tie in's to our customer's reporting requirements. So, assistance needed!

Menu today mostly in the air.

Road tripping for breakfast and lunch. Though I do have some jerky, a triple zero yogurt and homemade chicken salad I can get to easily.

D: Pork chops, dauphinoise potatoes, broccolini

No fun photos in my phone this week. Unless anyone would like to see picture number 743 of Brown dog's continued recovery.

Peace Everybody!

G'morning all!

Good luck QJB with first day of school. Although on a Fri of a 3 day weekend? Couldn't they wait till Tue?

Yippee for 3 days weekend, and we finally get some sun. For the next three days our high will be in the low 80s, so our Indian summer is starting right when the tourists are going back home. Very sneaky of us.

QOTD: I like Jen's answer...grad school and it started with 19...I was a full time student but I also worked at night at a restaurant; my main life was being a student, I wasn't fully supporting myself being a hostess in an Italian restaurant in Boston.

My meals yesterday (tried to compensate for a bad day the day before) :

  • Coffee
  • Protein puff + PP protein
  • Jello
  • Hb eggs + tuna pouch
  • E: 4 miles jog

Happy Fri-yay and a great long weekend.

PS. I know I promised not to post a pic for a couple of weeks, but just this one? That green ivy curtain and the bridge somehow reminded me of Narnia. I felt if I pulled back the curtain I would end up in another world.

D: Shrimp ****tail.

That meme is so spot on! If I won the lottery, I would travel to so many cool and fun places to see the world. If only I had an unlimited budget.

Your cookies are so awesome. I am amazed at your artistry. Wishing I had that talent (and patience).

Weekend plans include 90 min hot hatha yoga tomorrow morning, Where the Crawdads Sing in the aternoon. Inferno Pilates on Sunday with Yin/Vin yoga (120 minutes) with maybe a trip to kayak. Monday, I cancelled our bike ride since I didnt know if we would be back in time for my kids to audition to be an opener for a popular local band. No real plans but I am sure I can come up with something to do during the day. I will do a 60 minute Inferno Pilates class with weights and bands on Monday evening.

QOTD: Well although I did work fulltime, I took full load of classes during my Master of Science in Nursing Program. Not really sure if that accounts for being a fulltime student. Otherwise, it was when I graduated from college in the last century (1992).

Accountability: Grrrreat! (like Tony the Tiger)

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, keto granola, blueberries, cold brew with half n half

L: summer salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Asian chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing

S: 4 squares sf chocolate, yogurt based frosty (BTW the orange cremesicile turned out so good that I made it again.)

E: 60 min Hot power yoga (done)

Have a glorious long weekend!
